Noor Effandi bin Ahmad is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Telok Mas from May 2018 to November 2021 and Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) from May 2018 to March 2020 for the first time and again from March 2020 to his resignation in October 2021. [1]
He is an independent politician and was a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and previously Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. The 2020 Malaysian political crisis dubbed 'Sheraton Move',which overthrew the PH state administration,which he had followed suit. [2] [3] During his only MLA tenure,he served two times as member of EXCO,from May 2018 to March 2020 for the first time under PH [4] and again from March 2020 to October 2021 for the second time under BN-PN administrations. [5]
On 5 October 2021,BERSATU membership of Noor Effandi was automatically dropped for blatantly stating his loss of support for the BN state government under Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali. [6] [7] He and three other MLAs also withdrew support for the Malacca state government, [8] triggering the state assembly dissolution and subsequent snap 2021 Malacca state election. [9] [10] His attempt to return to PH and contest in the state election under its banner was rejected by the coalition,he decided not to defend the seat and remain as an Independent after his twice defections. [11] [12] On 19 May 2022,he join Amanah. [13]

Adly bin Zahari is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Defence in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Mohamad Hasan since December 2022,Member of Parliament (MP) for Alor Gajah since November 2022 and Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Katil since May 2018. He served as the 11th Chief Minister of Melaka from May 2018 to March 2020 and State Leader of the Opposition of Melaka from April 2020 to December 2022. He is a member of the National Trust Party (AMANAH),a component party of the PH coalition and was a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS),a component party of formerly the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalition. In AMANAH,he has served as its Vice-President since September 2021 and State Chairman of Melaka since August 2017. He was also the Treasurer-General of AMANAH prior to his promotion to the party vice presidency. He is also the sole Melaka AMANAH MLA.
The 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis was triggered after several Members of Parliament (MPs) of the 14th Malaysian Parliament changed party support,leading to the loss of a parliamentary majority,the collapse of two successive coalition governments,and the resignation of two Prime Ministers. The political crisis culminated in a 2022 snap general election and eventual formation of a coalition government.
Datuk Seri Utama Haji Sulaiman bin Md Ali is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Lendu since May 2013. He served as the 12th Chief Minister of Melaka from March 2020 to his resignation in March 2023,Deputy Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Chief Minister and former Member Idris Haron from May 2013 to the collapse of the BN state administration in May 2018. He is a member,State Secretary of Melaka and Division Deputy Chief of Masjid Tanah of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition.

He is also a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition. He was a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and previously PH coalition. He served as the Vice President of BERSATU from August 2020 to his resignation in October 2022,State Chairman of PN and BERSATU of Melaka from January 2021 to his resignations in November 2021.
Muhammad Jailani bin Khamis is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Rembia since May 2018. He served as Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from November 2021 to March 2023 for the third term,from March 2020 to November 2021 for the second term and under former Chief Minister Adly Zahari from May 2018 to the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration in March 2020 for the first term. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition before leaving PKR and becoming an independent supporting the BN coalition for nine months and later joining UMNO.
Norhizam bin Hassan Baktee is a Malaysian politician and lorry driver who served as Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from March 2020 to his resignation in October 2021 for the second term and in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration under former Chief Minister Adly Zahari from May 2018 to the collapse of the PH state administration in March 2020 for the first term. as well as a Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pengkalan Batu from May 2018 to November 2021. He is an independent and was a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He is also informally known by his nicknames such as Hulk or Gangster,for his temperamental mood and fondness of wearing body-fit shirts.
Hasnul Zulkarnain Abdul Munaim is a Malaysian politician. He has been Member of the Perak State Legislative Assembly for Titi Serong from 2018 to 2022.
Tey Kok Kiew is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration under former Chief Minister Adly Zahari from May 2018 to the collapse of the PH state administration in March 2020 as well as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bandar Hilir from March 2008 to November 2021. He is a member from Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the PH coalition. He has served as State Chairman of DAP of Melaka for the second term since January 2023 and served the first term from December 2015 to his resignation in November 2021 following a huge defeat of DAP in the 2021 Melaka state election.
Lim Ban Hong is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kelebang from May 2013 to May 2018 and again since November 2021. He served as the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Azmin Ali from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Azmin from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021,Senator from March 2020 to his resignation in November 2022 as well as Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) in BN state administration under former Chief Minister Idris Haron from July 2014 to the collapse of the BN state administration in May 2018. He is a member and State Chairman of Melaka of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA),a component party of the BN coalition. He has also served as the Vice President of MCA since November 2018.
The 2021 Malacca state election,formally the 15th Malacca state election,took place on 20 November 2021. This election was to elect 28 members of the 15th Malacca State Legislative Assembly. The previous assembly was dissolved on 4 October 2021.
Datuk Khaidhirah Abu Zahar is a Malaysian politician,host,director and former actress who has served as Deputy Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under Chief Minister and Member Ab Rauf Yusoh since April 2023 and Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Rim since November 2021. She served as Deputy Speaker of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly from December 2021 to her appointment as a Deputy EXCO Member in April 2023. She is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. She is also popularly known by her screen name namely Dira. She is the daughter of the 8th and former Chief Minister of Melaka,Abu Zahar Ithnin.
The 2022 Johor state election,formally the 15th Johor general election,took place on 12 March 2022. The election was to elect 56 members of the 15th Johor State Legislative Assembly. The previous assembly was dissolved on 22 January 2022.

Izizam Ibrahim is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Perlis State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) state administration under Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli as well as Member of the Perlis State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Titi Tinggi since November 2022. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the PN and formerly Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He is the Division Chief of BERSATU of Padang Besar. He was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. He was the Branch Deputy Head of Public Housing (RPA) of UMNO of Padang Besar,Branch Youth Head of RPA of UMNO Padang Besar,Division Member of the Information Committee of UMNO of Padang Besar. He is also presently one of the only two BERSATU Perlis EXCO Members along with Megat Hashirat Hassan.
Megat Hashirat Hassan is a Malaysian politician and teacher who has served as Member of the Perlis State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) state administration under Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli as well as Member of the Perlis State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pauh since November 2022. He is a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the coalition. He is the Acting Division Chief and Division Deputy Chief of BERSATU of Arau,State Information Chief of BERSATU of Perlis and Deputy Information Chief of PN of Arau. He is also presently one of the only two BERSATU Perlis EXCO Members along with Izizam Ibrahim.
