Norma John is a Finnish duo consisting of pianist Lasse Piirainen and vocalist Leena Tirronen. Tirronen previously placed third on season one of X Factor Suomi . They represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, with the song "Blackbird" but failed to qualify to the final. [3]

Bulgaria has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 14 times since making its debut at the 2005 contest in Kyiv. The country's best result is a second-place finish for Kristian Kostov and the song "Beautiful Mess" at the 2017 contest also in Kyiv.
Latvia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 21 times since making its debut at the contest in 2000, where the group Brainstorm finished third with the song "My Star". Latvia won the contest in 2002, with Marie N and the song "I Wanna", defeating Malta by 12 points. Latvia is the second former Soviet country to win the contest. The 2003 contest was held in the Latvian capital Riga. The country achieved its third top 10 result in 2005, when Walters and Kazha finished fifth with "The War Is Not Over".

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is an annual music contest organised by the Finnish public broadcaster Yle. UMK began in 2012 as the new Finnish selection format for the Eurovision Song Contest, replacing the original Finnish Eurovision selection Suomen euroviisukarsinta which had been held since 1961.

Montenegro participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel with the song "Heaven" performed by D mol. The group won the national final Montevizija 2019, where they were credited as D-Moll. The spelling of their name was later changed to D mol.
