The National Register of Historic Places in the United States is a register including buildings, sites, structures, districts, and objects. The Register automatically includes all National Historic Landmarks as well as all historic areas administered by the U.S. National Park Service. Since its introduction in 1966, more than 90,000 separate listings have been added to the register.
North River Mills is a historic unincorporated community in Hampshire County in the U.S. state of West Virginia. North River Mills is located between Capon Bridge and Slanesville on Cold Stream Road at its intersection with North River Road. The village of North River Mills lies along the eastern banks of North River from which it takes its name.
Capon Chapel, also historically known as Capon Baptist Chapel and Capon Chapel Church, is a mid-19th century United Methodist church located near to the town of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, in the United States. Capon Chapel is one of the oldest existing log churches in Hampshire County, along with Mount Bethel Church and Old Pine Church.
The Captain David Pugh House is a historic 19th-century Federal-style residence on the Cacapon River in the unincorporated community of Hooks Mills in Hampshire County, West Virginia, United States. It is also known by its current farm name, Riversdell. It is a 2 1⁄2-story frame dwelling built in 1835. It sits on a stone foundation and has a 2 1⁄2-story addition built in 1910. The front facade features a centered porch with shed roof supported by two Tuscan order columns. The rear has a two-story, full-width porch recessed under the gable roof. Also on the property are a contributing spring house, shed, outhouse, and stone wall.
The Hampshire County Courthouse is a Neoclassical edifice in the center of downtown Romney, county seat of Hampshire County, West Virginia. The present building was constructed in 1922 to replace the previous 1833 Neoclassical courthouse that had been destroyed by fire in 1921. The original bell from the 1833 courthouse hangs in the domed bell tower.
The Old Methodist District Parsonage is a 19th-century Italianate residence in Romney, West Virginia, United States. It is a two-story brick dwelling constructed between 1868 and 1882 to serve as the district parsonage for the area's Methodist churches. After it fell out of use by the church, the eight-room residence was purchased and restored by the Long family and currently features 18th and 19th century furnishings and folk art. The Old Parsonage was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

It encompasses nine contributing buildings, eight contributing sites, and three contributing objects that relate to an early industrial-commercial center in the county. They include: the Mill Creek Bridge, Henry Sherrard Mill, Robert Daniels House, John Gray House, Henshaw Log House, "Springhill", Henshaw Miller's House, "Springfield", Holliday Mill Sites, Bunker Hill Cumberland Valley Railroad Bridge, Stephenson's Tavern, Morgan Park including two State markers and monument (1924) to Morgan Morgan, Elisha Boyd Mill Sites, Joel Ward Mill ruins, Bunker Hill Mill Complex, and Joel Ward House.
Union Bryarly's Mill is a historic flour and grist mill complex and national historic district located at Darkesville, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It encompasses four contributing buildings and two contributing sites. The buildings are the Bryarly Mill, Mansion House, log smokehouse and combination ice house building, log miller's house (1751), site of a distillery, and foundation containing archaeological remains. The mill was built about 1835, and is a two-story, three-bay brick building with a gable roof. The Mansion House was built about 1835, and is a two-story, L-shaped frame dwelling on a stone foundation.
Tuscarora Creek Historic District is a national historic district located near Martinsburg and Nollville, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It encompasses 31 contributing buildings and three contributing sites, related to the early settlement and economic development along the Tuscarora Creek. Notable buildings in the district include: Patterson's Mill (1765) and the miller's house, "Elm Dale," the Silber-Walters House, Huxley Hall, site of Patterson's New Mill and miller's house, Hibbard Mill, Tuscarora School, Providence Cemetery, the Mong House, Tuscarora Church (1802), James Noll Shop, Rumsey Mill site, and the poor house or "Mansion House" (1788).
Spring Mills Historic District is a national historic district located near Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It encompasses five contributing buildings, constructed between about 1790 and 1922, and two contributing sites. They include the Falling Waters Presbyterian Church (1834) and Manse (1922) and Stephen Hammond Mill, Miller's House, and Spring House. The buildings are of masonry construction. The sites are the Falling Waters Presbyterian Church Cemetery and the site of Dr. Allen Hammonds House.

The district includes 126 contributing buildings, 1 contributing sites, and 7 contributing structures centered on Pickaway and surrounding rural areas. Notable properties in the core include the Reverend John Simpson House (1840), Pickaway School (1890), Trinity Methodist Episcopal South Church (1887), Pickaway Store and Post Office, and frame mill and blacksmith shop. Surrounding farms included in the district are the Gilchrist-Pritt-Perrine farms; Overholt-Gilcrist-Pritt and McClung farms; Beckett, Kilcollin, and Lemon farms; and Siebold and Weikle farms.
The Glencarlyn Historic District is a national historic district located in the Glencarlyn neighborhood of Arlington County, Virginia. It contains 276 contributing buildings, two contributing sites, one contributing structure, and one contributing object in a residential neighborhood in South Arlington. The area was platted in 1887 as Carlin Springs and continued to develop throughout the 20th century as a residential subdivision. The dwelling styles include a variety of architectural styles, ranging from Craftsman-style bungalows, Colonial Revival–style, and Queen Anne style dwellings. Notable buildings and sites include the Carlin Family Cemetery, Glencarlyn Library, and St. John's Episcopal Church. Also located in the district are the separately listed Ball-Sellers House and Carlin Hall.

It is a primarily residential district with buildings dating from the mid-19th century and including a diverse collection of building types and architectural styles. Notable buildings include Lackawanna (1869), the Old Duncan Hotel, the Riverton United Methodist Church (1883-1890), Dellbrook, the Carson Lime Company worker's houses, and the Old Riverton Post Office and Grocery. Located in the district and separately listed is Riverside.
Mitchell College Historic District is a national historic district located at Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It encompasses 336 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site associated with Mitchell Community College and the surrounding residential area in Statesville. The district includes notable examples of Greek Revival, Queen Anne, and Classical Revival architecture dated between about 1885 and 1930. Located in the district is the oldest building and separately listed; the Main Building, Mitchell College (1854-1856). Hebron Church is a mid-19th-century Lutheran church in Intermont, Hampshire County, in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Hebron Church was founded in 1786 by German settlers in the Cacapon River Valley, making it the first Lutheran church west of the Shenandoah Valley. The congregation worshiped in a log church, which initially served both Lutheran and Reformed denominations. Its congregation was originally German-speaking; the church's documents and religious services were in German until 1821, when records and sermons transitioned to English.
