Now That the Light Is Fading is the debut extended play by American singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers. Following a series of indie releases and her 2016 breakthrough hit "Alaska", the EP was released on February 16, 2017, by Columbia Records and Rogers' imprint Debay Sounds. The EP received favorable reviews and charted at number four on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart, and number 39 on the Top Rock Albums chart.

[1] Katherine St. Asaph of Pitchfork was optimistic about Rogers' career going forward, writing "She has a platform. She’s got ideas. But like all discovery stories, the real reward lies in what comes next." [4]

The mixtape contains ten tracks and was created in Los Angeles as a collaboration with producer A. G. Cook, the founder of PC Music. Several other producers associated with the label also contributed to the mixtape, including Sophie who previously produced Charli XCX's extended play Vroom Vroom. Musically, it has been labeled as avant-pop and electropop.

"3AM " is a song recorded by English singer-songwriter Charli XCX, written for her mixtape Number 1 Angel (2017). The song features Danish singer and songwriter MØ. The song received positive reviews from critics, with some considering it a highlight of the mixtape.

"Worst in Me" is a midtempo piano-driven pop song with tropical house elements. The song explores Michael's feelings for a former romantic partner in the light of their collapsed relationship. Michaels mentioned the song as one of her favorites.

The Time Is Now is the seventh studio album by British singer Craig David, released on 26 January 2018. The album features guest appearances from JP Cooper, Bastille, AJ Tracey, Ella Mai, Kaytranada and GoldLink. Originally formed as AliveSinceForever in 2010 and after releasing a compilation and extended play under the name in 2012 and 2013 respectively, the group rebranded to Brockhampton, proclaiming themselves as "the world's greatest boy band". The collective's lineup underwent significant changes in 2014 alongside this rebrand. After releasing singles throughout 2015, the group's debut mixtape, All-American Trash, was released for free on March 24, 2016.

Dominic David Fike is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. Fike first received recognition after releasing several popular songs to the website SoundCloud. Following the release of his debut extended play, Don't Forget About Me, Demos, he signed to Columbia Records. Fike's song "3 Nights" reached the top ten in multiple countries. He later collaborated with the band Brockhampton and singer Halsey. In June 2020, Fike released the single "Chicken Tenders". In July of the same year, he released the single "Politics & Violence". Fike's debut album, What Could Possibly Go Wrong, was released the same month. The album charted in the top 50 of multiple countries, including the United States and Australia.

"Sofia" is a song by American singer Clairo. Fader Label released it as the third single from her debut studio album Immunity on July 26, 2019. The song was written by Clairo and Rostam Batmanglij, who also produced the song, and features drums from Danielle Haim. "Sofia" became a sleeper hit after going viral on the video-sharing platform TikTok, charting on the Billboard Hot 100 more than a year after its initial release.

<i>Lady Wood</i> 2016 studio album by Tove Lo

Lady Wood is the second studio album by Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Lo. It was released on 28 October 2016 by Island Records. Lady Wood is considered the first half of a two-piece concept album that describe "highs, lows and ultimate demise of a relationship." Its chapters "Fairy Dust" and "Fire Fade" precede the chapters "Light Beams" and "Pitch Black" from her following album Blue Lips (2017). It was recorded between July 2015 and May 2016, which Lo commented was a quicker turnaround than the "whole life" she was afforded when creating her previous record Queen of the Clouds (2014).

Blane Muise, better known by her stage name Shygirl, is an English rapper, DJ, singer, songwriter and co-head/founder of record label and collective Nuxxe. Shygirl's music incorporates elements of hip house, industrial hip-hop, grime and deconstructed club. She has also been associated with the hyperpop music scene. Shygirl rose to prominence after working with close collaborator and friend Sega Bodega, as well as other well-known experimental pop producers Arca and Sophie, and gaining attention from the likes of Rihanna, who has used various Nuxxe tracks for her Fenty Beauty commercials and fashion shows. Shygirl has released various singles since 2016, and two EPs titled Cruel Practice and Alias. Her debut studio album Nymph was released on 30 September 2022.
