Nucras livida, the Karoo sandveld lizard, is a species of wall lizard in the family of true lizards (Lacertidae). It is found in Namibia and South Africa. [2]
The Lacertidae are the family of the wall lizards, true lizards, or sometimes simply lacertas, which are native to Afro-Eurasia. It is a diverse family with at least 300 species in 39 genera. They represent the dominant group of reptiles found in Europe. The group includes the genus Lacerta, which contains some of the most commonly seen lizard species in Europe.

Nucras caesicaudata, the bluetailed sandveld lizard or bluetail scrub lizard, is a wall lizard in the family of true lizards (Lacertidae). It is found in southern Mozambique, southwestern Zimbabwe and the extreme northeast of South Africa. The lizard can clearly be distinguished because of its distinctive blue tail. Little has been discovered about its anatomy and way of life as it is rarely encountered, but it lives in the sandveld, a dry, sandy, savanna ecoregion.
