Oeonistis entella, the lichen moth, [2] is a moth of the family Erebidae. It was described by Pieter Cramer in 1779. It is found in southern India and Sri Lanka.

Thomas Kallampally was a notable politician and educationist from Kanjirappally, Kerala. He was born in Kanjirappally. He started Netaji Vayanasaala a library for the youth at Anakkal, Kanjirappally at the age of 18. He was elected as the State General Secretary of Kerala Students Congress, the students wing of Kerala Congress while doing his Law Degree at Government Law College, Ernakulam. He also served as the PTA president of St Antony's Public school from its inception till his demise. Kallampally was also a member of Center for Human Resourced Development of State of Kerala and Kerala State Pollution Control Board. He was also a lead campaign manager for the Kerala Congress for various Lok Sabha elections. Kallampally holds the record of the second youngest MLA in the history of Kerala Legislative Assembly having elected to the Assembly at the age of 26.

Sabarimala Railway is a proposed 111 kilometres (69 mi) railway line from Angamaly to Erumeli, near Sabarimala that had been sanctioned in the year 1998 by Indian Railways. According to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Kerala State and the Ministry of Railways on 27 January 2016, commercially viable railway projects will be identified and handed over to the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to be fast-tracked on a 51:49 per cent equity basis. SPV has discussed about the extension to Punalur. The currently proposed Sabarimala railway is under PMO - Pro active governs and timely implementation (Pragati); will be monitored by the Prime Minister's Office. The proposed railway line will be a great relief to the transportation problems faced by Idukki, Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts.

Sabarimala Airport Proposed airport

Sabari Airport is a proposed greenfield airport project to be built in Erumely of Kottayam district in Kerala, India. The proposed site is spread over 2,263 acres (9.16 km2) of land at Cheruvally Estate in Manimala panchayath, Kanjirappally Taluk in Central Travancore which is located on the way to the Sabarimala temple, 136 km from state capital Thiruvananthapuram and 113 km from Kochi. Once commissioned, this would be the fifth airport in the State. In February 2017, the Kerala government gave in-principle approval to construct the airport and the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) was asked to conduct a feasibility study.
