Olga Seleznyova (born 7 June 1975) is a Kazakhstani cross-country skier. She competed in four events at the 1998 Winter Olympics. [1]
The cross-country skiing events at the 2002 Winter Olympics were marred by drug problems. The winners of three races were disqualified after blood tests showed that three skiers had overly high red blood cell counts indicating the use of darbepoetin, a drug used to treat anemia. At the time, the drug was not specifically listed in the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) list of banned substances, but the Olympic rules generally prohibit doping of any kind, in accordance with its charter. After two years and several lawsuits in Olympic and Swiss courts, the skiers in question were stripped of all their medals from the 2002 Games.
The 1984 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XIV Olympic Winter Games and commonly known as Sarajevo '84, were a winter multi-sport event held between 8 and 19 February 1984 in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia. It was the first Winter Olympic Games held in a Slavic language-speaking country, as well as the only Winter Olympics held in a communist country before the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. Olga Appell Avalos is an American long-distance runner from Mexico, best known for winning the gold medal in the women's marathon at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba. She ran at the 1992 Summer Olympics the following year, but failed to finish the race. She competed for Mexico until February 25, 1994, at which point she switched allegiance to the United States. She represented her adopted country at the 1996 Summer Olympics. There she was eliminated in the qualifying heats of the women's 10,000 metres event.
Olga Kazi is a retired female middle distance runner from Hungary. She is a multiple Hungarian Athletics Championships winner, having collected two gold medals in 400 metres, five on 800 metres and one each in 1500 metres and cross country running. In addition Kazi twice represented her native country at the Summer Olympics: in 1960 and 1964. She set her personal best in the women's 800 metres (2:05.0) on 16 September 1962 at the European Championships in Belgrade.

One Hundred Years Ahead, also in English territories titled as Guest from the Future is a 2024 Russian teen science fiction film directed by Alexander Andryushchenko, loosely based on the 1978 Soviet novel of the same name by Kir Bulychev from the cycle about Alice Selezneva. The main roles was played by Vereshchagina and Eidelstein. The novel was adapted as a five-part television miniseries Guest from the Future made in the Soviet Union, which aired in March 1985.
