New incidents in 2015 again resulted in closing the track, eventually leading to the decision by the city council to replace the track surface completely. [12] The total cost of this replacement plus additional improvements of the building's installations amounted to € 1.7 million. [13] The new track officially opened on September 5, 2016. [14]
