PSLV-C46 was a mission of the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket, launched on Thursday, May 22, 2019, at 05:30 Hrs (IST) by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. In this mission, the 'Core-Alone' configuration of PSLV was flown (without the use of solid strap-on motors).
The mission launched RISAT-2B into a Geocentric Sun-synchronous orbit. The satellite is an Indian radar reconnaissance satellite that is part of India's RISAT programme and is the third satellite in the series. The satellite was injected into an orbit of 555 km, 15 minutes and 30 seconds after lift-off, at an inclination of 37 degree to the equator.
The mission was the 72nd launch mission from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, 36th from the first launch pad and the 48th flight of PSLV. It was also the 14th flight of the `Core alone' configuration of PSLV. [1] The PS-1 stage burned for around 105 seconds and at 52 km. Followed by the ignition of the second stage. The Heat shield was separated at 176 seconds followed by the separation of Second stage at 260 seconds. The PS-3 was ignited at 261 seconds and separated at 561 seconds. This was followed by a successful insertion of the satellite into orbit.
ISRO Chairman K. Sivan congratulated the launch vehicle and satellite teams involved in the mission. With this launch, PSLV has carried 50 tonnes to space by launching 354 satellites, including national, student and foreign satellites. Almost 5000 visitors viewed the launch from the then recently opened visitors gallery.
The mission carried RISAT-2B into orbit. RISAT-2B is an advanced Earth Observation satellite which has a 3.6m radial rib antenna. It also carried two piggyback payloads of Vikram processor and low cost MEMS based Inertial Navigation System developed by Semi-Conductor Laboratory, Chandigarh and ISRO Inertial Systems Unit, Thiruvananthapuram respectively. The Vikram 1601 processor was used for first time in navigation computer in the next mission PSLV-C47 [2] after being test flown in redundant configuration [3] on PSLV C46 mission. [4] [5] [6]
Cartosat-3 is an advanced Indian Earth observation satellite built and developed by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), which replaces the Indian Remote Sensing Satellite (IRS) series. It has a panchromatic resolution of 0.25 metres making it one of the imaging satellite with highest resolution in the world at the time of launch and MX of 1 metre with a high quality resolution which is a major improvement from the previous payloads in the Cartosat series.

EOS-04 or Earth Observation Satellite - 04 is an Indian Space Research Organisation Radar Imaging Satellite designed to provide high-quality images under all weather conditions for applications such as Agriculture, Forestry & Plantations, Soil Moisture & Hydrology and Flood mapping. It is a follow on to RISAT-1 satellite with similar configuration. The satellite is developed by the ISRO and it is the sixth in a series of RISAT satellites.
PSLV-C34 was the 36th mission of the PSLV program and 14th mission of PSLV in XL configuration. The PSLV-C34 successfully carried and deployed 20 satellites in the Sun-synchronous orbit. With a launch mass of 320,000 kilograms (710,000 lb) and payload mass of 1,288 kilograms (2,840 lb), the C34 set a new record of deploying the maximum number of satellites by Indian Space Research Organisation in a single mission. The PSLV-C34 carried One Cartosat-2 satellite, SathyabamaSat, Swayam & 17 other satellites from United States, Canada, Germany & Indonesia.
PSLV-C35 was the successful mission of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle program which set eight satellites in space. It was launched on 26 September 2016 by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.

PSLV-C37 was the 39th mission of the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) program and its 16th mission in the XL configuration undertaken by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Launched on 15 February 2017 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, the rocket successfully carried and deployed a record number of 104 satellites in Sun-synchronous orbits in a single mission, breaking the earlier record of launching 37 satellites by a Russian Dnepr rocket on 19 June 2014. This record was held until the launch of the Transporter-1 mission by SpaceX on 24 January 2021 which launched 143 satellites.
PSLV-C38 was the 40th mission of the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) program and its 17th mission in the XL configuration. PSLV-C38 successfully carried and deployed 31 satellites in Sun-synchronous orbit. It was launched on 23 June 2017 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
PSLV-C42 was the 44th mission of the Indian Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) program and its 12th mission in the Core Alone (CA) configuration. PSLV-C42 successfully carried and deployed 2 Earth observation satellites in Sun-synchronous orbits at an altitude of 588 kilometres (365 mi).
