Telecommunications in Pakistan describes the overall environment for the mobile telecommunications, telephone, and Internet markets in Pakistan.
Streaming television is the digital distribution of television content, such as TV shows, as streaming media delivered over the Internet. Streaming TV stands in contrast to dedicated terrestrial television delivered by over-the-air aerial systems, cable television, and/or satellite television systems. The use of streaming online video and streaming television is concentrated on streaming video on demand platforms such as Netflix, iWantTFC, Tubi, Crackle, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, Vudu, Showmax, Peacock, Disney+, Apple TV+, BET+, and Paramount+.
Internet Protocol television (IPTV) is the delivery of television content over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. This is in contrast to delivery through traditional terrestrial, satellite, and cable television formats. Unlike downloaded media, IPTV offers the ability to stream the source media continuously. As a result, a client media player can begin playing the content almost immediately. This is known as streaming media.

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd., commonly known as PTCL is the national telecommunication company in Pakistan. PTCL provides telephone and internet services nationwide and is the backbone for the country's telecommunication infrastructure despite the arrival of a dozen other telecommunication corporations, including Telenor GSM and China Mobile. The corporation manages and operates around 2000 telephone exchanges across the country, providing the largest fixed-line network. Data and backbone services such as GSM, HSPA+, CDMA, LTE, broadband internet, IPTV, and wholesale are an increasing part of its business. Originally a state-owned corporation, the shareholding of Ptcl was reduced to 62%, when 26% of shares and control were sold to Etisalat Telecommunications while the remaining 12% to the general public in 2006 under an intensified privatization program under Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. However, the 62% of shares still remain under the management of government-ownership of state-owned corporations of Pakistan.

Valencia is a housing estate located within union council 144 (Haloke) in the administrative town of Nishtar of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Conceived by Manzoor Ahmed, Valancia was first planned in the 1990s and construction began by PECHS through funding from Mashreq Bank. The 2000 property boom in Lahore helped populate Valancia. The housing estate is known for its well-landscaped boulevards connecting a balanced mix of single-family detached homes, community and shopping centres. Valancia covers an area of about 1,000 acres (4.0 km2).
The Internet in Pakistan has been available since the early 1990s. Pakistan has about 118.8 million internet users, making it the 8th-largest population of internet users in the world. Information and communications technology (ICT) is one of the fastest growing industries in the country. In 2001 just 1.3% of the population used the Internet. By 2006 this figure had grown to 6.5% and in 2012 to 10.0%. As of July 2021; the percentage of internet users in Pakistan is 54%, which translates into approximately 118 million citizens having access to internet.
APNA Channel (Urdu: اپنا چینل, is a Urdu language satellite television channel broadcasting from Pakistan. It was launched on 14 October 2004. Its headquarters is in Printing House, Karachi, Pakistan. It is Pakistan's largest group of newspapers and the publisher of the Urdu language newspaper the Daily Jang., The News International, Mag Weekly, Geo News and Geo TV Network.
3G mobile telephony was relatively slow to be adopted globally. In some instances, 3G networks do not use the same radio frequencies as 2G so mobile operators must build entirely new networks and license entirely new frequencies, especially so to achieve high data transmission rates. Other delays were due to the expenses of upgrading transmission hardware, especially for UMTS, whose deployment required the replacement of most broadcast towers. Due to these issues and difficulties with deployment, many carriers were not able to or delayed acquisition of these updated capabilities.
