Pacifica is the third studio album by Australian electronic duo The Presets. The album was released in Australia by Modular Recordings on 7 September 2012. It was released the following week (14 September 2012) by Casablanca / Universal Republic. The album features the singles "Youth in Trouble", "Ghosts", "Promises", "Fall" and "Push". The album was Triple J's Feature Album, Radar Radio's Feature Album and Fbi Radio's Sunset Album. The album was produced by The Presets and mixed by Tony Hoffer. The track "Ghosts" featured on the soundtrack of FIFA 13 .
At the J Awards of 2012, the album was nominated for Australian Album of the Year. [2]
The Presets recorded the album in Sydney and Los Angeles. The bulk of the album was recorded at the home studios of Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes, with additional drum sessions taking place in Los Angeles with Joe Baressi and Sean Beavan. The Presets returned to Los Angeles to mix the album with Tony Hoffer.
Writing sessions for the album began as early as 2009. The band worked on as many as 30 songs towards the album. However it was towards the end of 2011 that the bulk of sessions came together.
Pacifica was released in Australia on 7 September 2012. In Australia the album was released on compact disc (the first pressing with a lenticular sleeve), gatefold vinyl album, deluxe box set (featuring, CD, vinyl album, lithograph and expanded artwork), and digital download.

Both singles released from the Pacifica album made the ARIA charts; "Youth in Trouble" peaked at 13 on the ARIA club tracks chart, [9] while accompanying single "Ghosts" peaked at 16. [10] The album peaked at number three on the ARIA albums chart. [11]

The Presets are an Australian electronic music duo of Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes. Formed in 2003 and signed to Modular Records, The Presets released two EPs in advance of their debut album, Beams, released in 2005 to positive critical response. After two years of touring, including as the Australian support for Daft Punk, the band's 2008 release, Apocalypso, debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, and went on to win six awards at ARIA Awards 2008, including Album of the Year.

The album was produced by the band, Tony Cohen and Mick Harvey for Red Eye Records. It peaked at No. 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart and has sold over 140,000 copies. Its lead single, "Black Stick" was released ahead of the album in March 1993 and peaked at No. 25 on the related Singles Chart. Future History is the second studio album by American singer Jason Derulo, released on September 16, 2011. The Sapphires: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is a soundtrack album for the film The Sapphires (2012), released on 27 July 2012 by Sony Music Australia. It features the vocals of Jessica Mauboy, Jade MacRae, Lou Bennett, Juanita Tippens and Darren Percival, with Mauboy singing in ten of the sixteen songs. Produced by Bry Jones, the soundtrack contains songs from the 1960s, including: "Land of a Thousand Dances", "I Can't Help Myself ", "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" and "What a Man". The track "Ngarra Burra Ferra" is a song based on the traditional Aboriginal hymn "Bura Fera" in the Yorta Yorta language of Victoria, Australia, the language spoken by the indigenous Yorta Yorta people of the Goulburn Valley and Murray River valley centred on modern-day Echuca.

Badlands is the debut studio album by American singer Halsey. It was released on August 28, 2015 through Astralwerks. Musically, Badlands is an electropop, dark pop, alternative pop, synth-pop, and pop record featuring industrial undertones. Halsey wrote every song on the album when she was 19, while production was handled by a number of producers. Norwegian producer Lido was one of the main producers on Badlands. The album was described by Halsey as lacking a "proper radio hit".
