Panoa contorta is a species of Desidae spider that is endemic to New Zealand. [1]
This species was described by Ray Forster in 1970 from female specimens. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum. [1]
The female is recorded at 5.64mm in length. The cephalothorax and legs are coloured reddish brown. The abdomen is grey with dark bands dorsally. [1]
This species is only known from Stewart Island, New Zealand. [1]
