Parabetyla ngarara is a species of diapriid wasp, and was first described in 1988 by the Australian entomologist, Ian D. Naumann. [1] [2] The species epithet, ngarara is a Maori word meaning "monster". [2] The holotype specimen (female only) was collected from Canaan, New Zealand, in leaf litter. [2]
This wasp is endemic to New Zealand, [3] and like all Diapriidae is parasitic. [3]
