Paracoryphella islandica is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Paracoryphellidae.
Paracoryphella islandica was originally described as Coryphella islandica by Nils Hjalmar Odhner in 1937. M. C. Miller (1971) [1] assigned this species to a new genus Paracoryphella within a new family Paracoryphellidae. Gosliner & Kuzirian (1990) [2] synonymized Paracoryphella with Flabellina, but Korshunova et al., 2017 reinstated Miller's genus and family. [3]
Flabellina is a genus of sea slugs, specifically aeolid nudibranchs. These animals are marine gastropod molluscs in the family Flabellinidae.
The Aeolidida is a taxonomic clade of sea slugs, specifically aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Cladobranchia. They are distinguished from other nudibranchs by their possession of cerata containing cnidosacs.
Fionoidea is a superfamily of small sea slugs, aeolid nudibranchs. They are gastropod mollusks within the infraorder Cladobranchia. The families within Fionoidea were shown to be monophyletic on DNA evidence and a re-interpretation of family characteristics was provided.
Paracoryphella is a genus of sea slugs, specifically aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Paracoryphellidae.
Babakina is a genus of sea slugs, aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Flabellinoidea.
Trinchesia is a genus of sea slugs, aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Trinchesiidae. All species were transferred to Tenellia as a result of a DNA phylogeny study in 2016. The genus was dismembered and broken into several smaller genera in 2017 with further DNA evidence and a re-interpretation of genus and family characteristics.
Coryphellina marcusorum, is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Flabellinidae.
Microchlamylla amabilis is a species of sea slug, an aolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Flabellinidae.
Flabellina bertschi is a species of sea slug, an aeolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Flabellinidae.
Cumanotus is a genus of sea slugs, aeolid nudibranchs, marine gastropod mollusks. It is the only genus in the family Cumanotidae.
Abronica is a genus of sea slugs, aeolid nudibranchs. It is the only genus in the family Abronicidae, which was first named in 2017.
