Paramantoida amazonica is a species of praying mantis from South America. [1] [2] It is the only species in the genus Paramantoida. [2]

Mantoididae is a family of praying mantises which contains Neotropical species of praying mantises from tropical North and South America. The family was formerly represented by the sole genus Mantoida, until the genus Paramantoida was described in 2014 and Vespamantoida in 2019. The family differs from the closely related Chaeteessidae in having an apical claw on the fore tibiae which are also less curved. Males have ocelli and a cylindrical body shape, unlike the dorsoventrally flattened Chaeteessidae. The cerci are also shorter.

The Rio Madeira stipplethroat is a species of bird in subfamily Thamnophilinae of family Thamnophilidae, the "typical antbirds". It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, and Peru. In the past it has also been called eastern stipple-throated antwren, Madeira stipple-throated antwren, Rio Madeira antwren, and Madeira antwren.
Iracema: Uma Transa Amazônica is a 1974 Brazilian Cinema Novo film directed by Jorge Bodanzky and Orlando Senna and very loosely inspired by Iracema: The Legend of Ceará, an 1865 novel by José de Alencar.
