Paul Merwood Best (born 8 March 1991) is a former English cricketer. Best is a left-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox who played for Warwickshire County Cricket Club. He was born at Nuneaton,Warwickshire and educated at Bablake School,Coventry. [1]
While studying Anglo-Saxon,Norse and Celtic at the University of Cambridge,Best made his first-class debut for Cambridge MCCU against Essex in 2011,with Best scoring an unbeaten 50 in the MCCU's first-innings. [2] A further first-class appearance followed for Cambridge MCCU against Middlesex,with him taking his maiden five wicket haul with figures of 6/101 in Middlesex's first-innings. [3] Following this he made his debut for Warwickshire in the County Championship against Durham at the Riverside Ground. [4] His final first-class appearance that season for Cambridge MCCU followed in May against Surrey,with Best scoring his maiden century with a score of 150 from 181 balls while batting at number eight. [5] He appeared in The University Match for Cambridge University Cricket Club against Oxford University Cricket Club at Lord's Cricket Ground in July,taking his second five wicket haul with figures of 6/86 in Oxford University's second-innings. Prior to this,Best had made his List A debut for Warwickshire in May against Leicestershire in the Clydesdale Bank 40. He made a second appearance in that competition for Warwickshire against Durham. [7] In July 2011,Best joined Northamptonshire on loan for the remainder of that season. [8] He made a single County Championship appearance against Glamorgan, [4] as well as four List A appearances in the Clydesdale Bank 40. [7]
Best retired from professional cricket prior to the 2015 season having suffered with stress fractures of the back over the previous two years. [9]
Prior to playing first-class cricket,Best played for England Under-19s,making his debut against Bangladesh Under-19s during their tour of Bangladesh. [10] Best captained the team during this tour. He later played for the team in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, [10] though the team was captained on this occasion by Azeem Rafiq. Best captained England Under-19s against Sri Lanka Under-19s during the 2010 season in one Test,five Youth One Day Internationals and two Youth Twenty20 International matches. He was named 'Man of the Series' in the One Day games. In total,Best made two Youth Test, [11] twelve Youth One Day International [10] and two Youth Twenty20 International appearances. [12]

He made his debut for Kent in the 2001 season,nine days before his first appearance for England Under-19s. He often fielded at slip. Tredwell was a member of the England team that won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.

Calum Scott MacLeod is a Scottish professional cricketer. He has represented the Scotland national team since 2008,including at the 2015 World Cup and the 2016 World Twenty20. He has played county cricket in England for Warwickshire and Durham. In January 2019,MacLeod was named the ICC Associate Player of the Year at the 2018 ICC Awards.

The ECB40,last known as the Yorkshire Bank 40 (YB40) for sponsorship reasons,was a forty-over limited overs cricket competition for the English first-class counties. It began in the 2010 English cricket season as a replacement for the Pro40 and Friends Provident Trophy competitions. Yorkshire Bank were the last sponsors,taking over the naming rights from their parent company Clydesdale Bank for the 2013 edition. Warwickshire won the inaugural tournament. The competition was replaced by a 50-over tournament,to bring the domestic game in line with the international game from 2014 on—the Royal London One-Day Cup.
Reece James William Topley is an English international cricketer who plays for the England cricket team in white ball cricket as a left-arm fast medium bowler. In 2012,Kent County Cricket Club competed in Division Two of the County Championship,Group C of the 40-over Clydesdale Bank 40 and the South Group of the Friends Life t20. Kent also hosted a first-class match at the St Lawrence Ground against the touring South Africans. At the start of the season,Kent played a three-day MCC Universities match at Oxford MCCU,but this match did not have first-class status. It was the first season in charge for new head coach Jimmy Adams after the departure of Paul Farbrace who had been the club's Director of Cricket for two seasons. The club captain was former England batsman Rob Key who had been club captain since 2006. Brendan Nash joined Kent as their overseas player.
