Penikufesin is the third EP by the American thrash metal band Anthrax. Culled from the State of Euphoria sessions, it was released in August 1989 on Megaforce Records/Island Records.
The EP includes the songs "Now It's Dark" (from State of Euphoria), a French version of the Trust cover "Antisocial" (the English version also appeared on State of Euphoria), the classic tune "Friggin' in the Riggin'" (made famous by the Sex Pistols), "Parasite" (a Kiss cover), "Le Sects" (another Trust cover) and "Pipeline" (a surf rock instrumental recorded by the Chantays). [1] The last three songs later appeared on Attack of the Killer B's ("Le Sects" was renamed "Sects"). "Friggin' in the Riggin'" was previously released as the B-side of the 1988 single "Make Me Laugh", while the French version of "Antisocial" had appeared on the Australian edition of State of Euphoria; this track was later released on the compilation album Anthrology: No Hit Wonders (1985–1991) .
Penikufesin means "nise [nice] fukin [fucking]" EP" spelled backwards. It refers to a song entitled "Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.)" ("ni[c]e fu[c]kin' life") that appeared on Anthrax's 1987 album Among the Living , [2] another song called "N.F.B. (Dallabnikufesin)" ("ni[c]e fu[c]kin' ballad"), which later appeared on the band's 1991 compilation album Attack of the Killer B's, also refers to that song.
The album was released in August 1989 by Megaforce Records / Island Records in Europe, Japan and Australia. [3]
Penikufesin has never been officially released in the U.S. or Canada, although Anthrax themselves have since acknowledged it as a canon release, [4] [5] and for a while, the EP had been listed on the discography page from their official website. [6] The EP's tracks would resurface on the State of Euphoria reissue that is part of the Aftershock four-CD set of albums.

Anthrax is an American heavy metal band from New York City, formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker. The group is considered one of the leaders of the thrash metal scene from the 1980s and is part of the "Big Four" of the genre, along with Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer. They were also one of the first thrash metal bands to emerge from the East Coast. The band has released 11 studio albums, several other albums, and 26 singles, including collaborating on a single with American hip hop group Public Enemy. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Anthrax sold 2.5 million records in the United States from 1991 to 2004, with worldwide sales of 10 million. Four of the band's studio albums have also achieved gold certifications by the RIAA, including their third full-length record Among the Living (1987), which cemented Anthrax's reputation as one of the most successful thrash metal bands.
Fistful of Metal is the debut studio album by American thrash metal band Anthrax, released in January 1984 by Megaforce Records and Music for Nations internationally. The album includes a cover of Alice Cooper's "I'm Eighteen". This is the band's only album to feature original frontman Neil Turbin and original bassist Dan Lilker, who were replaced by Matt Fallon and Frank Bello, respectively. Former original guitarist Greg Walls claims that Anthrax "ripped him off" as he claims he wrote the material on the album.

The album was released in June 1991 by Megaforce Worldwide/Island Entertainment. The "B's" in the album's title refers to b-sides previously unreleased and compiled for a single release. In 1992 the album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Metal Performance.
Live: The Island Years is Anthrax's first full-length live album. The album was released in 1994 by Megaforce Worldwide/Island Entertainment. As it is a live album, there were no new singles. The album features vocalist Joey Belladonna, who had been replaced in the band two years earlier by John Bush.
Trust was a French hard rock band founded in 1977 and popular in Europe in the first half of the 1980s. The band is best known for guitarist Norbert "Nono" Krief's prowess, for Bernard "Bernie" Bonvoisin's voice reminiscent of AC/DC's Bon Scott and for his lyrics about social and political themes. Iron Maiden's drummers Nicko McBrain and Clive Burr were part of Trust line-up in the 1980s. The band disbanded in 1985 and reformed in the 2000s for live shows and new recordings.
John Tempesta is an American drummer known for his work in hard rock and heavy metal. He has been a member of the Cult since 2006. Previously, Tempesta played with several bands including Exodus, Testament and White Zombie. He worked with former White Zombie singer Rob Zombie as a solo artist and served as drum technician for Charlie Benante, drummer for the heavy metal band Anthrax earlier in his career. He is referenced in Anthrax's rendition of "Friggin' in the Riggin'", with lyrics about the band's crew members. Additionally he also played the role of the "Not Man" during Anthrax's early live shows footage of which can be seen in the "Antisocial" music video.
Joey Belladonna is an American musician, best known as the vocalist for thrash metal band Anthrax. He is also the vocalist and drummer of the cover band Chief Big Way. Belladonna has six Grammy Award nominations and is known for his wild, energetic stage behavior, and tenor vocal range.
Anthrology: No Hit Wonders (1985–1991) is a greatest hits compilation of songs by the band Anthrax, which is centered on the 2005 Among the Living line-up reunion which includes current vocalist Joey Belladonna and former guitarist Dan Spitz. This release features only songs from the band's Joey Belladonna-era studio output, which began with Armed and Dangerous and ended with Attack of the Killer B's. Therefore, no songs from Fistful of MetalSound of White Noise, Stomp 442, Volume 8: The Threat Is Real or We've Come for You All are included on this video compilation.
Alive 2 (2005) is the third full-length live album and second full-length live DVD from the band Anthrax. It features the reunion of their lineup from the Among the Living era, including then-former vocalist Joey Belladonna and former guitarist Dan Spitz. The songs included on the disc are taken from Fistful of Metal, their first release, until Persistence of Time (1990), spanning numerous personnel changes.

Jonathan Zazula, also known as Jonny Z, was an American music industry executive who was the owner of New Jersey's Rock'n Roll Heaven record store and founder of record label Megaforce Records. Zazula's record store in East Brunswick, New Jersey made him a central figure of the East Coast metal scene, regularly playing demo tapes sent to him through his underground tape-trading network which included the likes of Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records, Ron Quintana, and producer Mark Whitaker. He was also a mentor to radio personality Eddie Trunk.
Worship Music is the tenth studio album by American thrash metal band Anthrax. The album was released on September 12, 2011 internationally, and on September 13 in the United States. It was the band's first album of original material since 2003's We've Come for You All, the first full-length Anthrax album since the return of longtime vocalist Joey Belladonna, and the final album with guitarist Rob Caggiano prior to his departure in January 2013.
Anthems is the sixth EP by American thrash metal band Anthrax. It was released on March 19, 2013 through Megaforce Records in North America, and three days later in Europe by Nuclear Blast. This was the group's last release to feature lead guitarist Rob Caggiano, who left the band subsequently. The record features cover songs from some of the band's favorite acts of the 1970s, along with two versions of "Crawl", a song from their previous studio album, Worship Music.
