The College of Arts and Architecture is one of fourteen academic colleges at the University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University.
Under Eric Walker, twelfth president of Penn State, the University system experienced a revival in the importance of the humanities and fine arts, which culminated in the creation of the College of Arts and Architecture by action of the Board of Trustees in 1962. The College was formed by joining the School of Fine and Applied Arts, formerly within the College of the Liberal Arts, with the Department of Architecture, formerly within the College of Engineering. [1] Jules Heller, then the director of the School of Fine and Applied Arts, was named the founding Dean of the College [2] and was a founding member of the International Council of Fine Arts Deans (ICFAD).

Christopher Newport University (CNU) is a public university in Newport News, Virginia, United States. It was founded in 1960 as Christopher Newport College, an extension school of the College of William and Mary for mid-career working professionals, members of the military, and non-traditional students in and around the Newport News area of the Hampton Roads region. The university has since expanded into a residential college for traditional students.

The Boston University College of Fine Arts(CFA) is the performing, cinematic, and media arts school of Boston University. Founded in 1872 with the establishment of the College of Music, it is an institution that trains artists, scholars of the arts, and filmmakers. Since the College of Fine Arts is integrated into Boston University, students at CFA may choose courses in the other undergraduate colleges at Boston University. CFA students can also apply for the Boston University Collaborative Degree Program (BUCOP), where students simultaneously earn undergraduate degrees at CFA and in one of 14 undergraduate colleges of the university. The college offers a study abroad program in London, England, and Dresden, Germany. Students can spend a semester at the Royal College of Music, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, or at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber".

The Hixson–Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts is the fine and performing arts college at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (NU) in Lincoln, Nebraska. The college was established on July 1, 1993 as the College of Fine and Performing Arts, combining arts-focused programs from across the university. It was renamed in 2000 after receiving an $18 million donation from Christina Hixson and Lied Foundation Trust. Most of the college's facilities are located in the southwest corner of NU's City Campus in what is sometimes referred to as the "Arts Quadrangle."
