The Pensioners' Party (Danish : Pensionistpartiet) was a political party in Denmark founded by Hans Hansen in 1976. It was dissolved in 2004 after not managing to run for the 2005 Folketing election.

The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party is a European political party composed of 60 national-level liberal parties from across Europe, mainly active in the European Union. The ALDE Party is affiliated with the Liberal International and a recognised European political party, incorporated as a non-profit association under Belgian law.

Poul Oluf Nyrup Rasmussen, is a retired Danish politician. Rasmussen was Prime Minister of Denmark from 25 January 1993 to 27 November 2001 and President of the Party of European Socialists (PES) from 2004 to 2011. He was the leader of the governing Social Democrats from 1992 to 2002. He was a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2009.

The Danish People's Party (DPP) is a nationalist and right-wing populist political party in Denmark. The party was founded in 1995 by Pia Kjærsgaard, who was the leader of the party until 2012, when she passed the leadership on to Kristian Thulesen Dahl. The DPP lent its support to the Liberal-Conservative government that ruled from the general election of 2001 until the 2011 election defeat. While not part of the cabinet, DPP cooperated closely with the governing coalition on most issues and received support for key political stances in return, to the point that the government was commonly referred to as the "VKO-government". It also provided parliamentary support to Lars Løkke Rasmussen's cabinets from 2016 to 2019, again without participating in it.
European Parliament elections were held in Denmark on 13 June 2004 to elect the 14 Danish members of the European Parliament. The opposition Social Democrats made major gains, mainly at the expense of Eurosceptic parties such as the June Movement.

General elections were held in Denmark on 8 February 2005. Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen's Venstre retained the largest number of seats in parliament. The governing coalition between the Venstre and the Conservative People's Party remained intact, with the Danish People's Party providing the parliamentary support needed for the minority government. The Danish Social Liberal Party made the biggest gains of any party, although it remains outside the governing group of parties. The election marked the second time in a row that the Social Democrats were not the largest party in the parliament, a change from most of the 20th century. The party lost 5 seats and leader Mogens Lykketoft resigned immediately after the election.
Kristian Jensen is a Danish politician who was Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark from 2015 to 2016, Minister of Finance from 2016 to 2019 and Minister of Taxation from 2004 to 2010. Jensen is a member of the liberal party Venstre. He briefly served as acting chairman of Venstre in 2019. From 1998 to 2021 he was a member of the Folketing.

The National Socialist Movement of Denmark is a neo-Nazi political party in Denmark. The movement traces its origins back to National Socialist Workers' Party of Denmark, the Danish Nazi party founded in the mid-1930s, more or less as a copy of Adolf Hitler's German NSDAP. After the end of the Second World War, a few people continued under the original party name, and published the newspaper Fædrelandet during the period 1952-1972. The movement was dissolved, reformed, and renamed several times between 1972 and 1991. The current incarnation of Danmarks Nationalsocialistiske Bevægelse was founded on 1 September 1991 by Jonni Hansen.
