Peter Thomas Primrose (born 26 September 1955) is an Australian politician.
He has been a Labor Party member of the New South Wales Legislative Council since 1996. He has served in various portfolios including Shadow Minister for Local Government,Shadow Minister for Regional Roads,Shadow Minister for Innovation and Better Regulation,Shadow Minister for Finance,Shadow Minister of State and Shadow Minister Assisting the Leader on Western Sydney. He was also the President of the Legislative Council (8 May 2007 –17 November 2009),Minister for Disability Services (2 March 2010 –28 March 2011) and Minister for Youth (8 December 2009 –28 March 2011) among other portfolios. Primrose was previously the Labor member for Camden in the Legislative Assembly from 1988 to 1991, [1] and was unsuccessful in regaining the seat at the 1995 election.
After Primrose graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Social Studies,he worked as a social worker with the Red Cross Welfare Service before working for the NSW Departments of Health,Youth and Community Services and as an adviser to the Commonwealth Minister for Consumer Affairs. He served on Campbelltown City Council from 1980 to 1991,including a term as Mayor;and for five years as Chair of the Macarthur Health Services Board. [2]
Morris Iemma is a former Australian politician who was the 40th Premier of New South Wales. He served from 3 August 2005 to 5 September 2008. From Sydney,Iemma attended the University of Sydney and the University of Technology,Sydney. A member of the Labor Party,he was first elected to the Parliament of New South Wales at the 1991 state election,having previously worked as a trade union official. From 1999,Iemma was a minister in the third and fourth ministries led by Bob Carr. He replaced Carr as premier and Leader of the New South Wales Labor Party in 2005,following Carr's resignation. Iemma led Labor to victory at the 2007 state election,albeit with a slightly reduced majority. He resigned as premier in 2008,after losing the support of caucus,and left parliament shortly after,triggering a by-election. He was replaced as premier by Nathan Rees.
Michael Rueben Egan,a former union official and former Australian politician,served as Treasurer of New South Wales between 1995 and 2005. Egan served as the Chancellor of Macquarie University from 2008 until 2019 and currently sits on a number of government and non-government advisory boards.

An election for the leadership of the New South Wales branch of the Australian Labor Party was held between 7 and 29 June 2019. The election was triggered by the resignation of Leader Michael Daley on 25 March 2019. The election was a combined vote by the party membership and the Labor members of the Parliament of New South Wales,with each component weighted equally. The party members were sent their ballots on 7 June and had until 21 June to return them,while the parliamentary caucus met on 29 June to cast their votes.
