Phycomelaina is a genus of fungi in the family Phyllachoraceae. [1] This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Phycomelaina laminariae.

In Iceland, it has been reported infecting Alaria esculenta , Laminaria digitata and Saccharina latissima . [2]
