PIMPBOT was an American ska punk band from Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. It was formed in 2001. Blending influences of reggae, dance-rock, hardcore punk, and rocksteady, the band was a local favorite, playing at many Honolulu venues. Pimpbot performed at the world-famous Wave Waikiki at the closing celebration, headlined the grand opening of the stage at Kemo'o Farms, and the popular Sunset on the Beach event at Waikiki Beach.

The band also toured across the State of Hawaii, the U.S. mainland, Asia and Canada, including two appearances at indie music's prestigious South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas. In their travels they gained national and international acclaim and have shared the stage with: Train, Orianthi, Third Eye Blind, Candlebox, Reel Big Fish, The Toasters, Less Than Jake, The Ataris, Warsaw, General Public featuring Dave Wakeling, The Aquabats, Save Ferris, Buck-O-Nine, Go Jimmy Go, The Aggrolites, The Skeletones, Skaladdin and the One Man Ska Band - Chris Murray.

Pimpbot was named as a finalist for several Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, the Hawaii recording industry's regional equivalent of the Grammy Awards. Pimpbot has also been a finalist in the Hawaii Music Awards, an awards program that was open to public voting worldwide, and which is no longer active.

Go Jimmy Go was an American ska, rocksteady, reggae and soul influenced band from Honolulu, Hawaii. Although chronologically, the band belongs to the third-wave, their mellow, slower tempo sound is reminiscent of the classic style of the original 1960s Jamaican first wave of ska.

Jake Shimabukuro is an Japanese-American ukulele virtuoso and composer known for his fast and complex finger work. His music combines elements of jazz, blues, funk, rock, bluegrass, classical, folk, and flamenco. Shimabukuro has written numerous original compositions, including the entire soundtracks to two Japanese films, Hula Girls (2007) and Saidoweizu (2009), the Japanese remake of Sideways.

Dennis Kamakahi

Dennis David Kahekilimamaoikalanikeha Kamakahi was a Hawaiian slack key guitarist, recording artist, music composer, and Christian minister. He was a three-time Grammy Award winner, and in 2009 he was inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame.

Peter Moon was an American ukulele and slack-key guitar player.

Melveen Leed is an American singer. She graduated from Radford High School in Honolulu. After winning the title of "Miss Molokai" she begin singing in the mid-1960s and has released a number of records in the genres of Hawaiian, country, and jazz music.

Kamuela Kahoano is a singer/songwriter, painter/visual artist and music producer from Honolulu, Hawaii. His music has elements of acoustic, folk, indie and alternative with Hawaiian influences. He performs solo and was formerly the lead singer of the band Analog(ic). He is an accomplished player of both the ukulele and guitar, playing both left-handed; he also plays the djembe. Kahoano claims many influences, including Coldplay, U2 and the Beatles.

Eric Lee (musician)

Eric Lee is a Hawaiian musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. His work has appeared on more than 30 albums, including his work with The Kanile'a Collection, Nā Kama, The Ka'ala Boys, The Mākaha Sons, and his solo albums, "Crossroads", "Kawehilani", and his Twentieth Anniversary Anthology.

Black Square is an American ska band from Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. Originally formed in 2002 as a hardcore punk trio, Black Square expanded into a six-piece and currently consists of Josh86, Brian Kim (drums), Kat Bumbaclot, Demetri Marmash (bass), Jared, T.R., and Babyface. Since expanding to a six-piece set up Black Square has sought to blend ska, punk, rocksteady, reggae, and hip-hop influences to create a distinct ska sound that maintains the intensity and style of punk rock. The band's name is a reference to Kazimir Malevich's 1915 oil painting of a black square on a plain piece of canvas.

The Green (band) Rock band

The Green is a reggae band formed in 2009 on Oahu, Hawaii. Their sound blends dub-heavy roots reggae, smooth lovers' rock, contemporary pop and rock with indigenous Hawaiian musical/lyrical references. The band consists of Caleb Keolanui on vocals, Ikaika Antone on keys/vocals, JP Kennedy on guitar/vocals, Zion Thompson on guitar/vocals, Brad Watanabe on Bass and Jordan Espinoza on drums. The group has released five full-length studio albums to date.

Jay Kalk, AKA Jayder is an American and International touring and recording artist formerly based out of Los Angeles, Phoenix, Honolulu, who currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has recorded and performed with many artists such as Go Jimmy Go, Warsaw Poland Brothers, and 3 Minute Hero. His most recent endeavor, Church of Cash, is a Johnny Cash Tribute show.

Mackey Feary was an American musician. He was a member of the Hawaiian music pop/rock/folk band Kalapana.

The Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, occasionally called the Nā Hōkū Awards or Hoku Awards, are the premier music awards in Hawaii. They are considered to be Hawaii's equivalent of the Grammy Awards. "Nā Hōkū Hanohano" means "Stars of Distinction" in Hawaiian – "hōkū" means "star", "nā" makes it plural, and "hanohano" means "glorious, worthy of praises". The awards were founded in 1978 by radio personality Krash Kealoha of KCCN-AM, a radio station which focused on traditional Hawaiian music. He launched the first awards with the support of the owner of the radio station Sydney Grayson, and his fellow DJs Kimo Kaho‘āno and Jacqueline “Skylark” Rossetti.

Kimié Kauikeolani Miner better known as Kimié, is an Grammy Award nominated producer, American singer-songwriter and musician of Native Hawaiian and Portuguese descent. In November 2019 Miner earned her first Grammy Award nomination for the compilation album titled "Hawaiian Lullaby" as a producer along with producer Imua Garza. It was released in 2019 under her label Haku Collective. Hawaiian Lullaby was nominated in the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards under the Best Regional Roots Music Album category. Miner is an independent artist formerly managed by Kimo Kennedy of Arium Music and Kekoa Kapua of FR Management.

Natural Vibrations, known by their fans as Natty Vibes, is a reggae band from Kahalu'u, Oahu with rock and pop influences. The band has received several awards at the Hawaii Music Awards and three Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

Willie K Hawaiian musician

William Awihilima Kahaiali'i, known as Willie K, was a Hawaiian musician who performed in a variety of styles, including blues, rock, opera and Hawaiian music.

Matt Sproat is a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winning Hawaiian musician, singer, producer, and story-teller. He is a guitarist and singer with the Hawaiian music trio, Waipuna. He is the great-grandnephew of the legendary musician and story-teller Kindy Sproat, who was a 1988 NEA National Heritage Fellow.
