Pitobash Tripathy (born 1984), also known simply as Pitobash, [1] is an Indian actor who works in Bollywood films. He is known for his role in the movies I Am Kalam , Begum Jaan , Shor in the City , [2] Mom , the Hollywood film Million Dollar Arm and the National Award-winning Odia film Kalira Atita . Early life and education

Tripathy was born in 1984 in Nayagarh, Odisha. [6] [7] He was brought up in Bhubaneswar where he completed his schooling from the Government High School, Unit 1, Bhubaneswar. Then, he joined Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College, Bhubaneswar for his higher secondary education. He completed a Bachelor of Technology degree in 2005 from the Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology from Kolkata, and he also holds a diploma in acting from the Film and Television Institute of India. [8]

Tripathy was awarded with the National Bal Shree Honour from the President of India in the field of creative performance at the age of 12. He was also involved in theater in Kolkata. [9] [10] in 2007. Later on, he joined the Bollywood industry as an actor. [11]

Career

Tripathy started acting with the movie 99 . [12] He then appeared in a supporting role in 3 Idiots . Later, he acted in I Am Kalam , directed by Nila Madhab Panda, [13] and Shor in the City . [14] [15] [16] He also acted in the movie Mirch in five different roles. Additional appearances include the films Joker , Aalaap , Shanghai and Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara! . [17]

Manimala Devi was an Indian Odia film actress. Devi was born in the Bilibasi village of Cuttack, and stepped into the film world at the age of nine. She never went to school. In 1945 she started to act in the Annapurna theatre of Cuttack.

Prem Anand is an Indian music director and composer. He usually works in Odia film and television industry. In 2006, he started his career as a music director through the Odia movie Tu Eka Ama Saha Bharasa and worked as a music director in more than 60 Odia films. Apart from Odia films, he composed music for Odia daily shops, Bhajans and Jatra songs. In 2009, Anand worked as a music director for the Hindi film Dekha Bhai Dekh in 2019, he composed music for Bollywood film Luv U Turn. Apart from Odia and Hindi films, he composed music for Marathi and Bengali films. He composed the 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup anthem.

Kalira Atita is a 2020 Indian Odia-language family film directed by Nila Madhab Panda, who earlier directed I am Kalam and Jalpari. This movie talks about climate change and its repercussions. The director sent the film to the Academy Awards committee. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Odia.
