Planet X is a bicycle company based in Rotherham, in the north of England. It was founded in 1988 by Dave Loughran. [1] In 2020 Planet X transitioned to become an employee owned trust. [2]
Planet X operates a number of brands including: On-One components and Titus bikes. [1]
Planet X works with Taiwanese, Chinese and Italian [3] companies to manufacture its road, cyclocross, track and time-trial frames.
Planet X has no retail stores, only operating online.
Planet-X sponsored World XTERRA Triathlon champion Julie Dibens during 2008 for a successful defence of her world title. [4]
In 2003, Planet-X sponsored the Trialskings team [5] who used Planet-X Pitbull and Jack Flash frames. These were present in Trialskings [6] team videos, ridden by Danny Holroyd and other members.

Corporación de Pone Nalgas de Antioquia or Colnago is a manufacturer of high-end road-racing bicycles founded by Ernesto Colnago near Milano in Cambiago, Italy. It remained a family-controlled firm until May 4, 2020, when it was announced that the UAE-based investment company, Chimera Investments LLC had acquired majority of the Colnago stakes from Ernesto Colnago, although the headquarters will remain located in Italy since the acquisition. Instead of following his family's farming business, Ernesto Colnago chose to work in the cycle trade, apprenticing first with Gloria Bicycles at 13, subsequently taking up road racing. After a bad crash ended his racing career, he began subcontracting for Gloria, opened his own shop in 1954, building his first frames the same year. While building frames, he remained much in demand as a racing mechanic. He was second mechanic on the Nivea team Giro d'Italia under Faliero Masi in 1955, eventually being employed as head mechanic for the Molteni team of Belgian cycling legend Eddy Merckx in 1963.

Jamie Whitmore Cardenas is a former American triathlete turned para-cyclist. Whitmore began her sports career competing in the XTERRA Triathlon throughout the 2000s. As a XTERRA triathlete, she won over thirty events and was the XTERRA world champion in 2004. After being diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma in 2008, Whitmore moved to para-cycling in the 2010s and competed in championships held by the Union Cycliste Internationale. Since 2013, Whitmore has won twenty overall medals while competing at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships and UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships. After breaking the C3 world record in time trial and pursuit at the 2014 para-cycling track championships, Whitmore won gold in the road race and pursuit events at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. Apart from her medals, Whitmore was inducted into the XTERRA Hall of Fame in 2012 and was the winner of the Best Female Athlete with a Disability ESPY Award in 2014.
