Poshtehan (Persian : پشتهان‎, also Romanized as Poshtehān and Poshtahān; also known as Poshtān, Poshtehān-e Bozorg, Pushtagan, and Pushtān)^[1] is a village in Dasht-e Veyl Rural District, Rahmatabad and Blukat District, Rudbar County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 332, in 82 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Dasht-e Veyl Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Rahmatabad and Blukat District, Rudbar County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 5,416, in 1,422 families. The rural district has 24 villages.
