Pseudanilara is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species: [1]
Agrilus is a genus of jewel beetles, notable for having the largest number of species of any single genus in the animal kingdom.
Chalcopteroides is a genus of darkling beetle, defined by Embrik Strand in 1935, and replacing the older name Chalcopterus which was preoccupied. The type species is Chalcopterus iridicolor. The genus occurs throughout Australia.
Temognatha is a genus of metallic wood-boring beetles. Over 85 species in the genus are native to Australia.
Chrysochroinae is a subfamily of beetles in the family Buprestidae: the "jewel beetles".
Aphanisticus is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Diphucrania is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae.
Habroloma is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae.
Hypocisseis is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Anilara is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Bubastes is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae.
Castiarina is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, tribe Stigmoderini. This is one of the largest genera of beetles in Australia and emerge in the summertime to coordinate with flowering of native plants including Eucalyptus and tea trees (Leptospermum).
Melobasis is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Neocuris is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Notographus is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Selagis is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae.
Lampetis is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Polybothris is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Acmaeodera is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, a group of metallic wood-boring beetles favored by insect collectors. Whereas most beetles including most buprestids fly with their elytra held out and vibrating their hindwings to give lift and thrust, Acmaedodera, however, fly with their hind wings only — the elytra are fused down the center and form a shield over the insect's abdomen, even during flight. This fact, combined with the banding across the abdomen which is common in this family, gives many of them a distinct wasp-like appearance when in flight. Several are therefore considered hymenopteran mimics.
Polycesta is a genus of "jewel beetles" in the subfamily Polycestinae, containing the following species:
