Qala (Persian : قلاع‎, also Romanized as Qalā‘; also known as Qalāgh)^[1] is a village in Qaleh Zari Rural District, Jolgeh-e Mazhan District, Khusf County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its existence was noted, but its population was not reported.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Qaleh Zari Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Jolgeh-e Mazhan District, Khusf County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,118, in 1,119 families. The rural district has 50 villages.

Jolgeh-e Mazhan District is a district (bakhsh) in Khusf County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. The District has no cities. At the 2006 census, its population was 12,317, in 3,622 families. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Barakuh Rural District, Jolgeh-e Mazhan Rural District and Qaleh Zari Rural District.
