Raulín Marte Rodríguez is a Dominican bachata artist. He is one of the first major bachata artists to have international success. As a pioneer of the bachata genre, he helped grow the genre's popularity in the 1990s. While traditional bachata songs were often risque and suggestive, Raulín Rodríguez's idealized romantic lyrics widened the appeal of the genre of bachata, helping it get regular radio play. Rodriguez is known as "El Cacique" and is one of the most established musicians to ever come from the Dominican Republic. Cómplices (transl. Accomplices) is the 18th studio album by Mexican singer Luis Miguel, released on 2 May 2008 by Warner Music Latina. The record is a collaboration with Spanish musician Manuel Alejandro, who wrote and arranged the songs, and co-produced the album with Luis Miguel. Musically, it is a pop album of mostly ballads and a few uptempo tracks with lyrics emphasizing romance. Two singles were released to promote the album: "Si Tú Te Atreves" and "Te Desean". To further promote the record, Luis Miguel embarked on the year-long Cómplices Tour from September 2008 to September 2009. He performed in North America and a few countries in South America.

Lo Bello y lo Prohibido is the title of a studio album recorded by Spanish singer-songwriter Braulio, It was released by CBS Discos in late 1986. This album became his second number-one set on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums. The album yielded the singles "Juguete de Nadie", "En Bancarrota", "Noche de Boda" and "La Pu... ra Vida". "En Bancarrota" peaked at number-one in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart for six weeks and at the 30th Annual Grammy Awards in 1988 was nominated for Best Latin Pop Performance, losing to Un hombre solo by Julio Iglesias.

"Corazón Partío" is a song written and performed by Spanish singer-songwriter Alejandro Sanz from his 1997 album Más. Released as a single, the flamenco-influenced upbeat song was his international breakthrough and entered several Billboard charts in the United States, including Hot Latin Tracks and Hot Dance Singles Sales. It became one of Sanz's signature songs. A remix of the song, released in 1998, reached number one in Spain.
Chayanne is the fourth studio album recorded by Puerto Rican performer Chayanne, It was released by CBS Discos on November 22, 1988. This album is the second released under the Sony record label, after the successful, also self-titled, previous album. This release includes a blend of ballads and dance songs, that would be the singer trademark through his career. The four singles yielded from this album peaked within the Top Ten in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart: "Tú Pirata Soy Yo", "Este Ritmo Se Baila Así", "Fantasías", and the number-one song "Fuiste un Trozo de Hielo en la Escarcha". Unlike his previous album, also titled Chayanne, all music from the LP version is available in the CD Version.

Lourdes Robles is a singer-songwriter and actress, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her career started in the early 1980s as part of duo Lourdes y Carlos, releasing two albums. The duo split and Robles began a solo career, acting in "Barrio Cuatro Calles" and "Generaciones", along Puerto-Rican performer Chayanne. She also performed in some musical productions, including Hello, Dolly!, Into the Woods, and The Fantasticks.
