Arcot N. Veeraswami is a former minister for electricity in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He became the treasurer of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Party and emerged as number three in the party after Karunanidhi and K Anbazhagan in the early eighties. The third legislative assembly election to the Madras state was held on 21 February 1962. The Indian National Congress party, led by K. Kamaraj, won the election. Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam made significant in-roads in the election and emerged as the second party for the first time by winning 50 seats.

While on enquiry about why he backed Tamil Nadu Chief minister Edappadi.k.Pazhaniswamy on CAB he said that the party and the commands from the same are priority for him therefore the jamaath of Ranipet removed him from all the posts of Masjid of which he was a member before. He was a member of the 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Ranipet constituency. He represented the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. He was minister of the state for the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare.
Gingee K. S. Masthan is an Indian Tamil politician and one of the Minister of Tamil Nadu from May 2021. He has been elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in 2016 on behalf of DMK in the Gingee assembly constituency which is a part of the Villupuram district. He was re-elected to the same legislative assembly in the 2021 Tamil Nadu assembly election. Following this, on 7 May 2021, he was appointed as a Minister of Minorities Welfare, Wakf Board, and Non Resident Tamil Welfare, Refugees & Evacuees. Non Resident Tamil Welfare, Refugees & Evacuees is an initiative by the M.K Stalin Cabinet Ministry. KS Mastan is also the District Secretary of Villupuram North with DMK.
