S. Gokula Indira is an Indian politician and was a member of the 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from the Anna Nagar constituency. She represented the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party. [1]
She was inducted into Jayalalithaa ministry as Minister of Tourism in 2011. However,in February 2013,she was sacked from the Cabinet,possibly due to underperformance,only to be reinducted as Minister of Handlooms and Textiles in May 2014 in yet another reshuffle.
Indira lost in the elections of 2016 despite her party retaining power. Her constituency was won by M. K. Mohan. She was one among the incumbent 13 ADMK ministers who lost the 2016 polls. [2] [3]
Periasamy Geetha Jeevan is an Indian Tamil politician serving as the current Minister for Social Welfare and Women Empowerment of Tamil Nadu. She is a Member of the Legislative Assembly,representing Thoothukkudi constituency in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. She also formerly served as the Minister for Animal Husbandry of Tamil Nadu.
The eighth legislative assembly election for Tamil Nadu was held on 24 December 1984. All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) won the election and its general secretary,incumbent M. G. Previously,he was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate from Natham constituency in 1999 after the death of then legislative member of Natham,M. Andi Ambalam. He has won consecutively in 2001,2006 and 2011 elections in a landslide vote count and has a cult following.
P. Thangamani is an Indian politician and incumbent Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu from Kumarapalayam constituency. He was the minister of industry during 2011–16 elected from kumarapalayam constituency. Currently,he is elected from same constituency from 2016 and he was the Minister of power of the Government of Tamil Nadu till May 2021. Munusamy completed his Bachelor of Arts from Govt. Arts College,Krishnagiri during 1971-1974 and later graduated Bachelor of Law from Government Law College,Chennai. Again she was elected from Panamarathupatti in 2001 elections during which she served as Social welfare minister. In 1985,she was made Khadi and Handlooms minister by then Chief Minister M. G. Ramachandran,only to be removed from the post along with 10 other ministers in 1986. After the death of ADMK supremo J. Jayalalitha,she was briefly in OPS camp along with former minister Semmalai,but soon returned to partyfold.
K. T. Pachaimal is an Indian politician and former member of the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly from Kanyakumari constituency. He represents Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party and won in the 2011 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election. He is a former minister.
V. S. Vijay is an Indian politician and was a member of the 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from Vellore constituency. He represented the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party.
