Rajshri Productions is an Indian film production and distribution company based in Mumbai, India, established in 1947, [1] which is primarily involved in producing Hindi films. [2] The most successful films produced by the company include Dosti (1964), Suraj (1966), Jeevan Mrityu (1970), Chitchor (1976), Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye (1977), Nadiya Ke Paar (1982), Saaransh (1984), Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Vivah (2006) and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015). [3] [4] It has produced successful shows like Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki , Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli , and Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara .
Rajshri Productions, the film production division of Rajshri, was established in 1947. Its first release Aarti met with critical acclaim and was screened at international film festivals. This was followed by Dosti , a non-star-cast film which became a box office success, and received the National Award for the Best Hindi Film of the Year (1964) and six Filmfare Awards.
Rajshri Productions made several more successful and critically acclaimed movies between the 1960s and 1980s including Uphaar , Geet Gaata Chal , Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se , Chitchor , Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye and Saaransh . At the end of the 1980s, when the film industry experienced a slump due to the advent of home video, Rajshri was on the verge of closing down. However, the company had a hit with a musical teenage romance, Maine Pyar Kiya , directed in-house by Sooraj R. Barjatya, which saved the company from closure. [5] It became one of Indian cinema's biggest grossers, and won six Filmfare Awards including Best Film and the Most Sensational Debut of the Year for 24-year-old Salman Khan.
Salman Khan followed up the success of Maine Pyar Kiya with Rajshri blockbusters Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath Saath Hain . Hum Aapke Hain Koun remains one of the highest grossing releases in the history of Indian cinema, and won the National Award for the most popular film providing wholesome entertainment, as well as eight Filmfare Awards and six Screen Awards, including Best Film, Best Actress and Best Director.
In November 2006, Rajshri Productions launched a broadband entertainment portal, Rajshri.com, offering streaming and downloads of various forms of content including movies, music videos, concerts, and documentaries. [7] The digital content is from its own production house and others.

Vijay Patil better known as Raamlaxman, was an Indian composer, pianist, musician and accordionist. Raamlaxman is most famous for his work with Rajshri Productions of Hindi films. He composed music for their hit films like Pandu Havaldar (1975), Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Muskurahat (1992), Police Public (1990), 100 Days (1991). His first film was Agent Vinod (1977) Raamlaxman has worked in almost 75 films in Hindi, Marathi and Bhojpuri.
The Filmfare Best Comedian Award was given by Filmfare as part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Hindi films, to recognise an actor who had delivered an outstanding performance in a comic role.
Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic drama film written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions. The film stars Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan and celebrates Indian wedding traditions by means of a story of a married couple and the relationship between their families; a story about sacrificing one's love for one's family. The basic plot is based on studio's earlier film Nadiya Ke Paar (1982), which was based on Keshav Prasad Mishra's Hindi novel Kohbar Ki Shart. The film features music by Raamlaxman who also composed a 14-song soundtrack, an unusually large number of songs for that period.

Barjatya is the chairman of Rajshri Productions, which was formed by his late grandfather Tarachand Barjatya in 1947.

Rajkumar Barjatya also known as Raj Kumar Barjatya was an Indian film producer. He was part of the Barjatya family which founded Rajshri Productions. He is best known for producing the blockbuster Bollywood films Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! both directed by his son, Sooraj Barjatya who made his debut with the former film. He died on February 21, 2019, after a brief period of hospitalization in Mumbai.
