Raniganj is a city and municipality in Araria district of the Indian state of Bihar. It is the headquarter of the Raniganj, Araria (community development block). [1]

The main language is Hindi. Some residents speak Maithili, Bhojpuri, Urdu, Bengali, or Marwari.
