Rasheedia is a genus of nematodes in the order Spirurida. The nematode genus BulbocephalusRasheed, 1966 [1] was found to be a homonym of BulbocephalusWatson, 1916 (Apicomplexa, Stylocephalidae) and, therefore, a new name, Rasheedia n. nom., was proposed in 2018 to substitute it. [2]
The genus was named in honour of Suraiya Rasheed, "a well-known Pakistani fish parasitologist who was the first to describe these interesting nematodes". [2]
Species of Rasheedia are parasite of fish and include:
The blacktip grouper, also known as the redbanded grouper, blacktipped cod, black-tipped rockcod, footballer cod, red-barred cod, red-barred rockcod, scarlet rock-cod or weathered rock-cod, is a species of marine ray-finned fish, a grouper from the subfamily Epinephelinae which is part of the family Serranidae, which also includes the anthias and sea basses. It is found in the tropical Indo-Pacific region. It is the type species of the genus Epinephelus.
Zoogonidae are a family of trematodes in the order Plagiorchiida.
Capillaria is a genus of nematodes in the family Capillariidae .
Huffmanela is a genus of parasitic nematodes, belonging to the family Trichosomoididae.
The Trichosomoididae is a family of nematodes.
Parupeneus heptacanthus, commonly known as cinnabar goatfish, and sold in UK as "Red Mullet", is a marine fish native to the western Pacific and Indian Oceans.
Cucullanus bulbosus is a species of parasitic nematodes. It is an endoparasite of carangid fishes.
Parupeneus forsskali, common name Red Sea goatfish, is a species of goatfish belonging to the family Mullidae.
Physalopteridae is a family of spirurian nematodes, which belongs to the superfamily Physalopteroidea. Like all nematodes, they have neither a circulatory nor a respiratory system.

František Moravec is a Czech parasitologist who specialises on the Nematodes, especially the nematodes parasites of fishes. His research is mainly in the field of taxonomy of the Nematoda.
Cucullanus epinepheli is a species of parasitic nematodes. It is an endoparasite of the brown spotted reef cod Epinephelus chlorostigma. The species has been described in 2018 by František Moravec & Jean-Lou Justine from material collected off New Caledonia in the South Pacific Ocean.
Cystidicolidae is a family of spirurian nematodes. It was described by Skrjabin in 1946. All members of the family are parasites of fish.
Jean-Lou Justine, French parasitologist and zoologist, is a professor at the National Museum of Natural History in Paris, France, and a specialist of fish parasites and invasive land planarians.
Ascarophisnema is a genus of parasitic nematodes, belonging to the family Cystidicolidae. Species of Ascarophisnema are parasitic as adults in the gastrointestinal tract of fish. According to the World Register of Marine Species, the genus currently (2019) includes a single species, Ascarophisnema tridentatum.

According to the World Register of Marine Species, the genus currently (2019) includes a single species, Moravecnema segonzaci, which is a parasite in a deep-sea fish.
