Ravand-e Olya (Persian : راوندعليا‎, also Romanized as Rāvand-e ‘Olyā; also known as Rāvand)^[1] is a village in Shaban Rural District, in the Central District of Nahavand County, Hamadan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 123, in 27 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Shaban Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Nahavand County, Hamadan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 15,321, in 4,008 families. The rural district has 34 villages.
