Rave Radio are an Australian electronic dance music duo formed in Queensland in 2008 by DJs and producers, Brett Allen and James Todman. They play a combination of live drum, live vocals, live sampling and mixing up with bass heavy genres. During 2013 they performed 100 shows across 11 countries. They were listed at No. 16 on the inthemix National Top 50 DJs.

Rave Radio have a combined 18 million plays of their tracks on Facebook and have an international fan base. Since the release of Rumble in 2015, they have attracted support from Martin Garrix, Hardwell, David Guetta, Dyro and Laidback Luke.

History

Rave Radio's members, Brett Allen and James Todman, were both studying music at SAE Institute, Gold Coast, when they met. [1] The duo started playing electronic dance music (EDM) together in 2008, [2] and explained their band name, "its a bit deceiving isn't it! We don't play rave music and we're not a radio station haha. We were young and thought it sounded cool and catchy. We stuck with it so have given the name its own identity." [1]

In mid-2010 they provided a remix for Bombs Away's "Big Booty Bitches", which reached No. 23 on the ARIA Club Tracks. [3] Their charting remixes for 2011 are, Stanton Warriors' "Get Up" (April) at No. 5, [4] "Get It Hot" (July) by Rave Radio vs Jolyon Petch featuring I.T. at No. 31, [5] and Bombs Away's "Super Soaker" (October) at No. 10. [6]

Rave Radio issued a single, "Make It Rain" featuring Xamplify, via Central Station Records/Universal Music Australia in May 2012, which was co-written by Allen and Todman with Kwabena Agyei. [7] It peaked at No. 22 on the ARIA Club Tracks. [8] They followed in September with "Botanical", which reached No. 37; [9] and then "Shake Dat" (November 2012), which made No. 17. [10]

During 2013 they issued "One Mind One Heart" (February) as a single, and then provided a remix version of "Hello" by Stafford Brothers featuring Lil Wayne and Christina Milian, which reached No. 1 on the ARIA Club Tracks. [11] In October of that year they issued another single, "Feel the Love", working with Chris Willis, which reached No. 13 on the Club Tracks. [12] It was co-written by Allen, Todman, Willis and Ronald Haryanto; a version was remixed by Nick Skitz. [13] For the inthemix awards of 2013, Rave Radio was listed at No. 16 in the National Top 50 DJs, [14] while in 2015 they were No. 46 for the People's Choice. [15]

In early 2014 they signed with the Ones to Watch Records for international releases and, together with Central Station Records/Universal Music Australia for local product, they provided "Rumble" in July. [16] Another single, "Mugatu" (November), was issued by Rave Radio and Zoolanda (Michael Zuidland), which reached No. 6 on the Club Tracks. [17] During that year the EDM duo toured the United States and Brazil. [18]

The Idea of North A cappella vocal ensemble

The Idea of North are an Australian a cappella vocal ensemble founded in Canberra in 1993, by Nick Begbie (tenor), Meg Corson (alto), Trish Delaney-Brown (soprano) and Andrew Piper (bass). In March 2002 Corson was replaced as alto by Naomi Crellin. Delaney-Brown was replaced on soprano in February 2007 by Sally Cameron. They won the Best Jazz Album category at the ARIA Music Awards of 2010 for Feels Like Spring and again in 2013 for Smile.

The discography of Metallica includes ten studio albums, eight live albums, three extended plays, 43 singles, ten video albums, 42 music videos, one soundtrack album, one collaboration album and three box sets. They are a San Francisco-based metal band formed in 1981 by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich (drums). After several bassist and lead guitarist changes, the band settled on Cliff Burton and Kirk Hammett, respectively. Metallica started playing locally, releasing their first widely circulated demo, No Life 'til Leather, in 1982. The demo caught the attention of Johny Zazula, who signed Metallica to Megaforce Records. The band released Kill 'Em All in 1983, and the following year they released Ride the Lightning. After Ride the Lightning was released, Metallica left Megaforce and signed to Elektra Records. In March 1986, the band released its third studio album, Master of Puppets, which was Metallica's first album to be certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). While promoting the album, Burton was killed in a bus accident. Jason Newsted was hired as a replacement. Amber Louise Lawrence is an Australian country music singer-songwriter-guitarist. Five of her studio albums have reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 50, 3 (2012), Superheroes (2014), Happy Ever After (2016), Our Backyard (2017) and Spark. The discography of Australian recording artist and DJ Havana Brown consists of one studio album, fourteen compilation albums, one extended play, twenty-one singles and eleven music videos. Brown, originally a DJ, began performing at small venues around Melbourne and worked with promoters around Australia in her early 20s. In 2008, she was approached by Island Records Australia to see if she was interested in creating compilation albums for the label. Brown has since produced nine albums in a series entitled, Crave, which have all charted within the ARIA Compilation Albums Chart top ten.

We Have a Saviour is the fourth Christmas worship album from Hillsong Music, which was issued in October 2012. Previously he had been a member of radio station, Sea FM's boy band, Oracle East, in 2012. In January 2016, Lee supported Justice Crew on their Live & Local Tour in New South Wales. Lee is the founder and owner of Philosophical Records & Lowly Lyricist.

Thomas George Stell, known professionally as Golden Features, is an Australian deep house / dance DJ and producer currently signed to Warner Bros. Records. Three singles, "Tell Me" featuring Nicole Millar, "No One" featuring Thelma Plum, and "Wolfie" featuring Julia Stone; received listener's votes for the Triple J Hottest 100. They were listed, successively, at No. 101 in 2014, No. 92 in 2015, and No. 70 in 2016. Golden Features performed at the Hard festival in 2016. His debut album, Sect, reached No. 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Mobin Master is an Australian DJ and producer. His version of the Robin S. song "Show Me Love" peaked at No. 7 on the ARIA Club Tracks chart and stayed in the top 50 for 52 weeks. It was nominated for the 2008 ARIA Award for Best Dance Release and reached No. 25 on ARIA's End of Year Top 50 Club Tracks chart in 2007.

Kid Kenobi or Jesse Thomas Desenberg is an Australian DJ, sound mixer, music journalist and dance music artist. Together with Hook N Sling, he was nominated for the 2007 ARIA Award for Best Dance Release for their single, "The Bump".

Melisa Bester, who performs as E^ST or East, is a South African-born Australian singer-songwriter and musician. She has released four extended plays, Old Age (2014), The Alley, Get Money! and Life Ain't Always Roses. Bester toured nationally as a support act for Twenty One Pilots in March–April 2016 and for Panic! at the Disco in October 2018. Her debut studio album, I'm Doing It, was released on 31 July 2020.

Travis Collins Musical artist

Travis William Collins is an Australian country music singer-songwriter and guitarist. Three of his albums have reached the ARIA Albums Chart top 20, Hard Light (2016), Brave & the Broken (2018) and Wreck Me (2020). He has won eight Golden Guitar trophies at the annual Country Music Awards of Australia and four CMC Australian awards. Collins is an ambassador for RUOK? Day.

Matthew Victor Kopp, who performs as Running Touch, is an Australian singer, songwriter and record producer. In addition to his eponymous solo project, he was the founding guitarist of Australian nu metal band, Ocean Grove in 2010, and since 2014 he is a studio-only member. He appears on both their albums, The Rhapsody Tapes and Flip Phone Fantasy. He also contributed written material for Adult Art Club.
