The Reading Masters was a greyhound competition held at Reading Stadium.
The race was held from 1992 until 2007 and the prize money was second only to the English Greyhound Derby. [1] [2] The large prize money fund came virtue of sponsorship by the track bookmakers. [3]

Reading Stadium also known as Smallmead Stadium was an English greyhound racing and speedway stadium in Bennet Road, Reading in the county of Berkshire.

The Laurels is an original classic greyhound competition held at Perry Barr Stadium. It was run at Wimbledon Stadium from 1930 until 1997. It then moved to Belle Vue Stadium in 1998 and remained there until 2017 when it switched to Newcastle Stadium. After two years at Newcastle and a cancellation in 2020 due to COVID-19 it switched to Perry Barr in 2021.

The event originally called the Regency Produce Stakes immediately attracted interest with 161 British Bred litters in the first year and over 200 litters in the 1949 edition and has remained a significant event.
