League History
Formed in 2009, initially 9 clubs applied to be part of the new setup; Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phattalung, Phuket, Satun, Yala and Tartauo. Come decision day, Tartauo either failed to apply on time, or were not accepted into the new setup.
Narathiwat and Satun were the only two teams with previous experience in the Thai football league system.
Narathiwat won the first ever championship and took the Regional League championship allocation, winning the division on goal difference from Satun.
The 2010 season saw the arrival of six new teams. Trang, Ranong, Phang Nga, Chumphon and Hat Yai were newly formed sides and Surat Thani were welcomed into the setup after being relegated from the 1st Division.
Prachuap Khiri Khan were also re-located from the Regional League Central-East Division by the RL board but withdrew before the 1st round of games citing insufficient budget and concerns about safety.
The league also said good bye to Narathiwat as they secured promotion to Division 1 through the end of season Regional League playoffs.
Phuket, who struggled in their first season in 2009 won the title, leading the league from start to finish. They had formed close links in the off season with TPL side Muangthong United and brought in a number of loanee players. Trang also used the same principle, teaming up with Thai Port to claim 2nd place in their debut season.
2011 saw the return of Narathiwat after one season away. A disastrous campaign in Division 1 saw them on the brink of financial collapse and they reformed as Nara United for the 2011 season.
The title was won by Krabi with runners up Phattalung also entering the Regional League playoffs. The title went down to the wire just like in 2009 with 5 teams in with a chance of glory with only 3 matchdays remaining.
Krabi and Phattalung also did the league proud with extensive runs in the League Cup and FA Cup. Phattalung making the semi-finals in the TLC.
Thai League 4, commonly known as the T4, was the fourth level association football league in Thailand. In 2009, it was divided into five groups by geographic region. Each group contained 16 clubs except for the Southern Region group which contained 13 clubs. It was sponsored by AIS and therefore officially known as the AIS Regional League Division 2. In 2016, Khor Royal Cup became a trophy for Regional League Division 2. In 2017, Football Association of Thailand rebranded the league to Thai League 4.
Nara United Football Club is a Thailand professional football club based in Narathiwat province. The club is currently playing in the Thai League 3 Southern region. The team lifted the league division 2 southern zone and Super Champion Cup title in 2009 and 2010 which became one of the most successful seasons in their history.

The 41st Thailand National Games also known were held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 5 to 19 December 2013. Represented were 43 sports and 77 disciplines. The games were held in 700th Anniversary Stadium Sport Center, etc. and Chiang Mai hosted 1995 Southeast Asian Games.
The 40th Thailand National Games were held in Khon Kaen, Thailand from 3 to 13 March 2012 after being postponed by the 2011 Thailand floods, with competition in 39 sports and 77 disciplines. These games were held in Khon Kaen University Sport Center. Khon Kaen also hosted the 1992 Thailand National Games
The 39th Thailand National Games were held in Chonburi, Thailand from 5 to 19 December 2010, with competition in 39 sports and 76 disciplines. These games were held in the Institute of Physical Education Chonburi Campus Sport Center.

The Thai League Cup is a knock-out football tournament played in Thai sport. Some games are played as a single match, others are played as two-legged contests. The 2016 Thai League Cup kicked off on 6 February 2016. The Thai League Cup has been readmitted back into Thai football after a 10-year absence. The Thai League Cup is sponsored by Toyota, thus naming it Toyota League Cup. The prize money for this prestigious award is said to be around 5 million baht, and the runners-up will be netting 1 million baht.
