The Republican Liberal Party (Spanish : Partido Liberal Republicano, PLR) was a political party in Panama.

History

The party was part of the United People Alliance for the 1994 general elections, [1] in which the Alliance's presidential candidate Ernesto Pérez Balladares was elected president. The PLR also won two seats in the National Assembly.

Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu Romanian politician

Călin Constantin Anton Popescu-Tăriceanu is a Romanian politician who was Prime Minister of Romania from 29 December 2004 to 22 December 2008. He was also president of the National Liberal Party (PNL) and the vice-president of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party (ELDR), two positions he assumed in 2004. He was the President of the Senate, second position in the Romanian state, from 10 March 2014 until he resigned on 2 September 2019, having previously resigned from the PNL party, becoming an independent senator. In July 2014, he established the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR).

Parliamentary elections were held in Portugal on 8 November 1925. The result was a victory for the Democratic Party, which won 83 of the 163 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 39 of the 70 seats in the Senate. Following a military coup in 1926 and the subsequent Estado Novo period, the 1925 elections were the last truly multi-party elections in Portugal until the 1975 Constituent Assembly elections.

The Political Alliance for a European Moldova was the pro-European governing coalition in Moldova from 18 February to 24 July 2015. On 24 July 2015, the Liberal Party (PL) joined a new majority coalition. It was succeeded by the Alliance for European Integration III.

The Liberal Reformist Party was a Spanish political party launched by Francisco Romero Robledo in 1886 from elements of the Liberal Conservative Party. It rejoined the PLC in 1891. Romero reconstituted the party in 1898, lasting until his death in 1906.
