The longfin catshark is a catshark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western Pacific from Japan to the Philippines, and the East and South China Seas, and the Kyūshū-Palau Ridge, at depths between 530 and 865 m. Its length is up to 48 cm.
The Panama ghost catshark is a lesser known catshark of the family Scyliorhinidae. This catshark is only found off Panama, between 9°N and 2°N. The reproduction of the Panama ghost shark is oviparous.
The longnose catshark is a catshark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the eastern central Pacific from central and southern California and the Gulf of California, between latitudes 38° N and 23° N, at depths down to 1,890. Its length is up to 58 cm.
The cylindrical lanternshark or Carter Gilbert's lanternshark is a shark of the family Etmopteridae found along the Caribbean coast of Colombia in South America, at depths of between 285 and 355 m. Its maximum length is 21 cm.
The African lanternshark is a shark of the family Etmopteridae found in the eastern Atlantic between latitudes 12°N and 18°S, at depths between 300 and 1,000 m. Its length is up to 30 cm.
The Papuan epaulette shark, Hemiscyllium hallstromi, is a bamboo shark in the family Hemiscylliidae found around southern Papua New Guinea, between latitudes 7° S and 10° S, and longitude 144° E and 146° E. Its length is up to 75 cm.
Etmopterus burgessi, sometimes known as the broad-snout lanternshark, is a lanternshark of the family Etmopteridae in the order Squaliformes. It is found only around Taiwan.
Neolamprologus leleupi is a species of cichlid endemic to Lake Tanganyika where it occurs throughout the lake. It is a recess-dweller, inhabiting cracks and crevices. It feeds on invertebrates living in the rich biocover of the substrate. This species reaches a length of 10 centimetres (3.9 in) TL. The color of this fish ranges from bright yellow to deep brown. Both color variations exist at each location where this species is found. This relatively small cichlid is a substrate spawner. It is easily confused with the very similar N. longior a fish also endemic to Lake Tanganyika. The specific name honours the Belgian entomologist Narcisse Leleup (1912-2001), who collected the type.
Neobola stellae is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Cyprinidae. It is endemic to Lake Turkana in Ethiopia and Kenya. It can reach a maximum length of 2.3 cm.

The threadfin cichlid is a species of cichlid endemic to Lake Tanganyika found in areas with rocky substrates on which it can graze on algae. This species can reach a length of 18 cm (7.1 in). It can be found in the aquarium trade. The specific name of this cichlid honours the British ichthyologist Ethelwynn Trewavas (1900-1993).

Hamilton's barb, also known as the plump barb, is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Enteromius.
Osteobrama belangeri is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Osteobrama. It was found in the Indian state of Manipur, but has been extirpated there and as of 2022 is found in the wild only in Myanmar. Farmed populations in Manipur and wild-caught fish from in Myanmar are used as food. The extirpation from Manipur was caused by dam building, habitat degradation and the introduction of alien species which caused the populations to fragment.
Ladigesia roloffi, the Sierra Leone dwarf characin, is a species of harmless African tetra that is found in Sierra Leone and Liberia, Africa. L. roloffi is the only member of its genus. The fish was named in honor of German aquarist Erhard Roloff (1903–1980), who collected the type specimen. They are a social species generally living in schools at mid depths and surface level fresh water. It lives for five years. Ninety-seven percent of their natural habitat has been lost.
Citharidium ansorgii is a species of lutefish found in the Niger River basin in Nigeria and also reported from Cameroon. It is the only member of its genus. Its conservation status is least concern. The only known threats which could negatively affect the population of this species are oil studies in the Lower Delta and potential impact of the invasive water hyacinth in the inland delta.
Klausewitzia ritae is a species of South American darter found in the upper Amazon River basin at the Peruvian/Brazilian border. It is the only member of its genus.
Phenacogrammus bleheri is a species of fish in the African tetra family. It is known only from a small tributary of the Bari River in the Lua River system in the Ubangi River drainage, in the middle Congo River basin in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This species reaches a length of 6.3 cm (2.5 in).
