The Fremantle Football Club,nicknamed the Dockers,is a professional Australian rules football club competing in the Australian Football League (AFL),the sport's elite competition. The team was founded in 1994 to represent the port city of Fremantle,a stronghold of football in Western Australia. The Dockers were the second team from the state to be admitted to the competition,following the West Coast Eagles in 1987. Gerald Ugle is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL).
Marc Webb is an Australian rules football coach in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) for Port Melbourne and in the WAFL for Perth and Subiaco. He serves as an assistant coach at Fremantle after previously being a premiership winning senior coach for Claremont. He is the husband of Fremantle AFL Women's player Lisa Webb.
Shane Yarran was an Australian rules footballer. He played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL) in the 2016 season. Yarran also played for Subiaco and Peel Thunder in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and for Kelmscott and Gosnells in the Western Australian Amateur Football League (WAAFL).
