Ridhima Ghosh is an Indian Bengali-language film and television actress. [1] She debuted on the big screen Sanghamitra Chaudhuri's Ratporir Rupkotha in 2007. She debuted on television in the Bengali television series Bou Kotha Kao in 2009. She is known for acting in Kaushik Ganguly's Rang Milanti one of the most appreciated films of the year 2011.

Education

Ghosh had her schooling at the Loreto House in Kolkata.[ citation needed ] She subsequently earned a degree in English Literature from Bhawanipur Education Society College.

Personal life

Ridhima was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India on 18 January 1989. [2] She was raised in Kolkata. She married her long-term boyfriend, actor Gaurav Chakrabarty on 28 November 2017. They met in the script reading of Rang Milanti on 5 September 2010. [3] [4] Ridhima is the daughter-in-law of actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty and actress Mithu Chakrabarty. Her brother-in-law is actor Arjun Chakrabarty. [5] She gave birth to a male child named Dheer on 16 September 2023. [6]

Career

Ridhima debuted on television in the Star Jalsha megaserial Bou Kotha Kao. She made her silver screen debut with the film Raatporir Rupkotha directed by Sanghamitra Chaudhuri that released in 2007. She gained popularity through acting in Kaushik Ganguly's Rang Milanti that released in September 2011 to wide critical and commercial acclaim. [7]

Ghosh was back on television through Byomkesh on Colors Bangla in 2014. She is also known for acting in this television series. Her character Satyabati was appreciated by mass audience.

She debuted on the OTT platform in the Hoichoi web series, Byomkesh (S1-S8). After that, she worked in a number of prominent web series.
