Michael Duane Johnson is an American retired sprinter who became Olympic Champion four times, and World Champion eight times in the span of his career. He held the world and Olympic records in the 200 m and 400 m, as well as the world record in the indoor 400 m. He also once held the world's best time in the 300 m. Johnson is generally considered one of the greatest and most consistent sprinters in the history of track and field.

Fita Bayisa is an Ethiopian long-distance runner, best known for winning a bronze medal in the 5,000 metres event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. A year earlier, he had won a silver medal at the World Championships in Tokyo. Before the Olympic Games in Barcelona, Bayisa had emerged as the favourite for 10,000 metres, as he had defeated a world-class field at the Bislett Games in Oslo in a time of 27:14.26 min. However, he failed to make an impact on the 10,000 m final, which was won by Khalid Skah.
Jack Leonard "Jay" Barrs, Jr. is an American archer. He won a gold medal in the 1988 Summer Olympics. He is an NAA National Outdoor Champion and FITA World Field Champion, as well as a fourteen time NAA US Field Champion. Barrs was born in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Arizona State University.
Kristen Ann Maloney is a retired gymnast from Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, in the United States. She won bronze in the team event at the 2000 Olympic Games. Maloney was also the U.S. senior all-around national champion in 1998 and 1999 and the 1998 Goodwill Games gold medalist on the balance beam.

Robert Earle "Earl" Johnson was an American athlete who competed mainly in the cross country team. He was the 1921 National Champion. He effectively defended his championship in 1922 as he was beaten by Ville Ritola's Van Cortlandt Park course record, but since Ritola was Finnish, Johnson was the first American finisher in the National Championships. A rare black athlete of his day, he worked for the Edgar Thomson Steel Works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Sheena Tosta is an American track and field athlete who competes in the 400 metres hurdles. Her personal best time is 52.95 seconds, achieved in July 2004 in Sacramento. She won a silver medal in the Women's 400 metre hurdles at the 2008 Olympic Games. At the same Olympics Melaine Walker (Jameica) won the gold medal.
Roderick Hopkins Davis is a former competitive sailor who won Olympic medals for two countries. At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, representing the United States, he won the gold medal in the Soling class along with Robert Haines and Edward Trevelyan. After moving to New Zealand he was chosen to represent that country at the next three Olympic Games. Along with Don Cowie he won a silver medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain in the Star class.

Rodney "Hot Rod" McLain is an American sprint canoer who competed in the mid to late 1980s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he earned his best finish of fifth in the C-2 1000 m event at Los Angeles in 1984. McLain won two medals at the 1987 Pan American Games in Canadian doubles, a silver in 1,000 metres and a bronze in 500 metres. He was the 1977 North American Junior Champion and the 1981 US Champion. During his canoeing career McLain continued to compete in biathlon and cross-country skiing.

Rodney John "Rod" Mapstone is a former Australian sprinter who competed in the men's 100m competition at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He recorded a 10.56, not enough to qualify for the next round past the heats. His personal best is 10.17, set in 1996. He was also a part of the Australian 4 × 100 m team, which finished first in its heat with a time of 38.93. They were subsequently disqualified due to a false start in the semifinals.
Rod Boll was a Canadian sports shooter. He competed in the men's double trap event at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Boll also competed at two editions of the Pan American Games, and won more than twenty titles during his career. He was posthumously inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
