Into the Unknown is the second studio album by Bad Religion, which was released on November 30, 1983. The album marks a distinct departure from the band's previous album; instead of featuring hardcore punk, the album is characterized by slower tempos, use of electronic organ and pianos, and a prog-influenced hard rock sound. Into the Unknown is the only Bad Religion album to feature Paul Dedona on bass and Davy Goldman on drums, as Jay Bentley and Pete Finestone returned to the band in 1986 and played bass and drums respectively on their subsequent albums, although the latter would leave the band once again in 1991. It also features Bad Religion's longest track to date, "Time and Disregard", which is seven minutes long.

Musically, its style forms a link between two of the band's previous albums: the aggressive protest of XTRMNTR (2000), and the acid house psychedelia of Screamadelica (1991).
Robert Coppola Schwartzman is an American filmmaker, director, screenwriter, actor and musician. Schwartzman is best known for directing Dreamland, The Unicorn, and The Argument, acting in his cousin Sofia Coppolas’ projects Lick the Star and The Virgin Suicides, as well as starring in The Princess Diaries and as the lead vocalist of the rock/pop band Rooney.
Third is the third album by American rock band Big Star. Sessions started at Ardent Studios in September 1974. Though Ardent created promotional, white-label test pressings for the record in 1975, a combination of financial issues, the uncommercial sound of the record, and lack of interest from singer Alex Chilton and drummer Jody Stephens in continuing the project prevented the album from ever being properly finished or released at the time of its recording. It was eventually released in 1978 by PVC Records.

Rooney is the primary musical project of singer-songwriter Robert Schwartzman, evolving from its origin as an American rock band formed by high school friends in Los Angeles. Before Schwartzman decided to continue with the project and take it in a different direction, the band's most enduring line-up consisted of Schwartzman, Louie Stephens, Taylor Locke, Matthew Winter and Ned Brower. The band is named after Ed Rooney, the principal in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Sorry You Couldn't Make It is a studio album by American musician and producer Swamp Dogg. It was released on March 6, 2020 via Joyful Noise Recordings in partnership with Pioneer Works Press. Recording sessions took place at Sound Emporium in Nashville. It features contributions from John Prine, Justin Vernon, Jenny Lewis, and Ryan Olson among others. The duet sung between Swamp Dogg and John Prine appearing at the end of the album is one of John Prine's final in-studio recording sessions. Swamp Dogg had known Prine since 1972, when he covered the country-singer's ballad "Sam Stone" on his album third LP Cuffed, Collared & Tagged.
