Rowing competitions at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara will take place from October 15 to October 19 at the Canoe & Rowing Course in Ciudad Guzman. The only difference between the Pan American rowing program and the Olympic program is, the women's eights is replaced with the women's lightweight single sculls. [1]

Rowing at the 2007 Pan American Games will take place at the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, the same venue that hosted the Canoe and Kayak and Water Skiing events. The chef de mission was Jacques Cardyn and the assistant chef de mission was Curt Harnett.

Canoeing competitions at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara were held from October 26 to October 29 at the Rowing and Canoeing Course in Ciudad Guzmán. The Canoe Slalom event was dropped due to an anticipated low number of entries. The winners of some events qualified to compete at the canoeing events at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Great Britain. The Pan American Games were not a qualification tournament for the Olympics in the events K4M 1,000 and K4W 500.
