Rufiji is one of the six districts of the Pwani Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by the Kisarawe and Mkuranga Districts, to the east by the Indian Ocean, to the south by the Kilwa District, Lindi Region and to the west by the Morogoro Region.
Pwani Region is one of Tanzania's 31 administrative regions. The word "Pwani" in Swahili means the "coast". The regional capital is the town of Kibaha. It was also the 21st most densely populated region with 34 people per square kilometre., the region is slightly larger than Belgium.
Kibaha is a city, with a population of 128,488, located in eastern Tanzania. It is the capital of Pwani Region. It is located in Kibaha District, one of the six districts of Pwani Region.
The Central Line, formerly known as the Tanganyika Railway is the most important railway line in Tanzania, apart from TAZARA. It runs west from Dar es Salaam to Kigoma on Lake Tanganyika via Dodoma. A branch leads to Mwanza on Lake Victoria.

In addition, the district is home to the largest natural gas powered power station, the Ubungo Thermal Power Station and the headquarters of the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO). The 2012 National Tanzania Census states the population of the district as 845,368.
Bagamoyo is one of the six districts of the Pwani Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by the Tanga Region, to the west by the Morogoro Region, to the east by the Indian Ocean and to the south by the Kibaha District. The district capital is at Bagamoyo.
Kisarawe is one of the six districts of the Pwani Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the East by Dar es Salaam Region, to the north by the Kibaha District, to the east by the Mkuranga District, to the south by the Rufiji District and to the west by the Morogoro Region. The district is the historical homeland of the Ndengereko and Zaramo people.
Kilosa District is one of the six districts of the Morogoro Region of Tanzania. Its administrative seat is the town of Kilosa. Kilosa District covers 14,918 square kilometres (5,760 sq mi). It is bordered to the north by the Manyara Region, to the northeast by the Tanga Region, to the east by Mvomero District, to the southeast by Morogoro Rural District, to the south by Kilombero District, to the southwest by the Iringa Region and to the west by the Dodoma Region. Kilosa District is home to Mikumi National Park.

The district is named in honor of the Vinza people whom the western part of district was their historic kingdom. Southern Uvinza District is home to the Mahale Mountains National Park. A unique park that is home to both Chimpanzees and lions in the same habitat.

Issuna is a village and administrative ward in the Singida Rural district of the Singida Region of Tanzania. According to the 2002 census, the ward has a total population of 11,285.
Kisarawe is a Tanzanian district that is the larger settlement of the Pugu Hills, southwest of Dar es Salaam. In the Kisarawe district there is an 8200-hectares cultivation of Jatropha shrubs that are processed to produce biodiesel.

The district is comparable in size to the land area of Puerto Rico. Chalinze District is bordered to the northeast by Pangani District, the north by Handeni District and in Kilindi District of Tanga Region. The district is bordered to the east by the Indian Ocean. Chalinze is also borders Bagamoyo District, Kibaha Urban District and to the South by Kibaha District. On the western part, the district is borderd by Mvomero District and Morogoro Rural District of Morogoro Region.
Mchinga is an administrative ward and capital of Kibaha District in Pwani Region of Tanzania. The ward covers an area of 84.6 km2 (32.7 sq mi), and has an average elevation of 60 m (200 ft). According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 17,318.
