Atharvaa Murali is an Indian actor who works in Tamil cinema. The son of actor Murali and grandson of director S. Siddalingaiah, Atharvaa began his acting career with Baana Kaathadi (2010). He then garnered critical acclaim for his performance as a youngster suffering from delusion in the romantic thriller Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal (2012), before signing on to feature in Bala's period film Paradesi (2013). Asuravadham is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Maruthupandian, and produced by Leela Lalitkumar. It is based on rural areas. Govind Menon scored the music for the film, and cinematography is handled by S.R Kathiir. The film was earlier scheduled to have its theatrical release on 13 April 2018, coinciding with Puthandu, but was postponed to 29 June 2018 due to Kollywood strike, which resulted in a standoff between Nadigar Sangam and Digital Service Providers on the increase of VPF charges. The film had its theatrical release on 29 June and received mixed reviews from critics and audience and emerged as an average hit.
Bigil (transl. Whistle) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language sports action drama film directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment. The film stars Vijay in dual roles, alongside an ensemble cast of Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Vivek, Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Anandaraj, Yogi Babu, I. M. Vijayan, Arjan Bajwa, Indhuja Ravichandran, Reba Monica John and Amritha Aiyer. It is the third and final collaboration of Vijay with Atlee after Theri (2016) and Mersal (2017). The film follows Michael "Bigil", a footballer-turned-gangster, who decides to coach a women's football team when their coach gets attacked.
Yaanai (transl. Elephant) is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Hari and produced by Vedikkaranpatti S. Sakthivel under the banner of Drumsticks Productions. The film stars Arun Vijay, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Ramachandra Raju, Samuthirakani, Rajesh, Radhika Sarathkumar, Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran, Ammu Abhirami, Yogi Babu and Pugazh. The soundtrack and background score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while the cinematography and editing were handled by Gopinath and Anthony.
