SA Athletics Stadium is an athletics stadium located in Adelaide. Located in the Adelaide Parklands, the stadium includes a running track and field complex. [1] The stadium was formerly known as Santos Stadium under a sponsorship arrangement with Santos Limited.
SA Athletics Stadium is owned and operated by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, an agency of the Government of South Australia.
Opened on Australia Day, 1998, it replaced the Olympic Sports Field [2] in Kensington as Adelaide's premier athletics venue, and has seating for 1,200 and a maximum capacity of 6,000. [3] The track surface is Rekortan M99. [4]
The stadium is located on the edge of the CBD, in the Adelaide Parklands adjacent to Priceline Stadium, Adelaide's largest netball complex. The Stadium is home to Athletics South Australia, the South Australia Athletics League, City Bay Fun Run, the South Australian Little Athletics Association, and is regularly used by schools for sporting carnivals.

ES Marks Athletics Field is located in Kensington, Sydney, Australia. It was built in 1906 as Sydney Athletics Field. In 1947 a cinder track was installed and it was renamed ES Marks Athletics Field after athletics administrator Ernest Samuel Marks. In 1956 a grandstand was built. In the early 1960s, it hosted the Australian Athletics National Titles, however as the cinders track aged and alternate synthetic tracks at other venues were built, the facility fell out of favour. The $23 million complex officially opened in April 2021, and features a turf Australian rules football and cricket oval alongside two synthetic soccer pitches. It is best known for hosting Australian Football League (AFL) matches as part of Gather Round; the AFL refers to the venue as Adelaide Hills in its promotional material. The capacity of the main oval is nominally 5,000, which includes a 270-seat undercover grandstand. However, this capacity can be increased to 7,500 during Gather Round via additional temporary seating. The venue is also utilised by State League 2 South Australia club Mount Barker United SC, with annual visits from the Adelaide United youth team.
