Sekolah Menengah Sains Teluk Intan (English: Teluk Intan Science Secondary School; abbreviated SEMESTI) is a fully residential school in Malaysia. This school is located 13 miles from Teluk Intan and has an area of 21.5 hectares. It was built in 1980, but students did not start enrolling until 1984.
The early work on building this science school started in September 1980. On completion, the first batch of students was admitted in 1984. The 425 students were Form 1, Form 4 and Australian English Test (AET) students. The first principal was Tuan Haji Noor bin Bakar PJK, who took up his post on 1 February 1984. In 1985, GCE-A students started to enroll into this school.
SEMESTI had an impressive academic record. In the 1986 SPM, with the 100% pass rate (180 students with Grade I, 6 with Grade II and 5 with Grade III), SEMESTI had the best SPM result in Malaysia. In the 1987 SPM, it had another 100% pass rate (130 students with Grade I and 3 students with Grade II), the second best SPM result in Malaysia. [1]

The West Coast Expressway (E32), abbreviated WCE, is an interstate controlled-access highway running along the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The 233-kilometre (145-mile) expressway is currently under construction, with several sections open for public use. Once completed, the expressway will run between Changkat Jering, Perak and Banting, Selangor, following federal routes 5 and 60 for most of its route. The expressway will operate in three sections, with sections of federal route 5 completing the missing connections; these sections will be upgraded to limited-access roads. The expressway is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2025, except for a 10 km stretch from Section 7B which is expected to be completed by June 2026.
Khoo Kay Kim was a Malaysian historian and academic of Chinese descent. He was honoured with Emeritus Professor title by the University of Malaya in 2001. In January 2011, Khoo was appointed Chancellor of KDU University College.
Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School is a Chinese independent high school located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Established in 1965 by the Api-Api Hakka Association to address the educational needs of Chinese students in the region, the school has since become one of the sixty-one Chinese Independent High Schools in Malaysia. Sekolah Menengah Jenis Kebangsaan San Min, which literally translates to San Min National Type Secondary School, is located in Teluk Intan in Perak, Malaysia. It was first established in 1929 and has since survived the many changes and hardships, including the Japanese Occupation, and attained many achievements. It was then classified as a National Type Secondary School after the enforcement of the Malaysian Education Act 1957. It was first located beside Jalan Woo Saik Hong in the town area. In 1998, after receiving a plot of land from a generous Indian donor, the school had then moved to its current location beside Jalan Merbok off Jalan Sultan Abdullah.
Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Gombak is one of the 70 boarding schools administered by the Sektor Sekolah Berasrama Penuh. Located in Sungai Pusu, Gombak, the school is a few kilometres from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). This school is known as InteGomb as an abbreviation from its name among SBPs. Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Gombak have shown outstanding achievements both academically and in co-curriculum activities. Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Gombak have been ranked top 10 among other elite fully residential schools since 2008 in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. In the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia 2013 examination, the school gained GPS of 1.18 to become the best school in Selangor. The school made a history in the SPM 2020 examination to become the best school in Malaysia with GPS of 1.00 and in SPM 2022 with GPS 1.05

Sekolah Menengah Sains Sabah is a fully residential school established in Malaysian state of Sabah. As the first fully residential school in East Malaysia and the 27th of its kind in Malaysia, SMESH was previously known as Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Sabah (SBPS). SMESH was established in 1978 but became fully operational on 1 January 1984. It has a 16-acre (65,000 m2) permanent campus in Bukit Padang, Kota Kinabalu. Due to the unsafe state of the campus, SMESH is temporarily operated in a temporary campus in Tuaran.

Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong is a Malaysian politician who served as Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak from June 2014 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018, Member of Parliament (MP) for Teluk Intan from November 1999 to March 2008 and again from May 2014 to May 2018 and Member of the Perak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pasir Bedamar from April 1995 to November 1999. He is a member and Advisor of the Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (GERAKAN), a component party of presently the Perikatan Nasional (PN) and formerly BN coalition. He also served as the 5th President of GERAKAN from October 2013 to September 2018.
