Sekolah Menengah Sains Tuanku Syed Putra (English: Syed Putra Science Secondary School; abbreviated SMSTSP; formerly known as Sekolah Menengah Sains Perlis) is a premier boarding school located in Kangar, Perlis, Malaysia. The school specialises in rugby, soccer, innovation and invention. [2] The school performance in the recent Penilaian Menengah Rendah (2013) is the best in Perlis and fourteenth ranking in Sekolah Berasrama Penuh with 76.92% students gaining straight A's with GPS 1.0526 [3] [4] while Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia is the best in Perlis with 30 students obtaining straight A's. [5]

The MCKK Premier 7's 2014 was the fourth edition of the annual, invitational Malay College Rugby Premier Sevens, which involved teams from Malaysia premier schools, states champions and international schools. It was scheduled from 28 February till 2 March 2014. For the fourth edition of the Tournament, the number of international teams invited has increased from three teams in the previous Tournament to five teams. This year, teams from New Zealand and South Africa, two Test Playing Rugby Nations, will feature for the first time in the Tournament together with debutant Singapore. Thailand and Hong Kong will also be returning this year. The tournament is also on the verge of being recognized by International Rugby Board with help by Malaysian Rugby Union. The tagline for this tournament is "Premiering Talent and Sportsmanship". Initially, Brunei Sports School were confirmed of participating the events before pulling out in the final minute.
The MCKK Premier 7's 2020 is the tenth edition of the annual, invitational Malay College Rugby Premier Sevens, which involved teams from Malaysia premier schools, states champions and international schools. It was scheduled from 28 February through 1 March 2020. Three international teams were initially scheduled to participate but cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. English College Johore Bahru won the tournament for the first time since the competition inception.
