The Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) or SUCI(C), previously called the Socialist Unity Centre of India and "Socialist Unity Centre", is an anti-revisionist Marxist-Leninist communist party in India. The party was founded by Shibdas Ghosh, Nihar Mukherjee and others in 1948.

He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2004 from the same constituency. He was directly involved in the Sainbari murder. He was caught making derogatory remarks about Mamata Banerjee and for this he was severely criticised by his own party men. In 2012, he was expelled from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on charge of nepotism, anti-party activities & breach of discipline.

Rupchand Murmu is an Indian politician and a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) political party. He was elected to the 10th Lok Sabha in 1991 from Jhargram constituency in West Bengal. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2004 from the same constituency.
